The era of the reincarnated Villainess' has truly begun !
Ai Fairouz as a former villainess! She's in good company with Maaya and Rieri ! It's kind of funny seeing Maaya Uchida in the male lead (?) role since she kicked this genre off anime-wise with Bakarina . Also was not expecting Haruka Tomatsu, but that's awesome ! Wonder how much romance is in this...

Plus, it seems somewhat ironic that the anime's character designs take after the cancelled manga version. Last edited by zztop; 2022-10-31 at 23:25. |

The villainess LN/manga series I'd really like to see adapted to anime is Villainess Level 99 -- a reincarnated girl realises she's destined to be the Secret Final Boss of an otome game and faces defeat at the hands of the main love interest and her harem. To avoid this fate she proceeds to derail the plot by becoming severely OP while at the same time being totally clueless regarding personal relationships and how other people think.

I like that we get to see flashbacks (forwards?) of Pride in full villainess mode. I was following the manga until it got discontinued due to the author's health so I'll definitely be following this.

I guess this is going to one of those shows that is more difficult to view. Oh well, at least I read it so I can wait.
My favorite part of a drama where the main female character takes the place of someone else is how the other characters react to her change. Most stories of that type just breeze through those parts and don't go into it in enough depth. |

Finally got a chance to see it. The pacing was a little quick, but they had quite a bit to cover so it's expected. The only thing about the pacing though is that it made it less relatable why she was so upset and had trauma because those parts were condensed in the anime. The reactions to her sudden change from the web novel were almost completely absent too.
Overall I enjoyed first episode though. |
