main problem with her was that she got recruited by a hot shot among "deities" (they arent actualy called deities but great taoists or something) whom was actually with the side planing a coup d'é·tat in the higher realms (thats why the void dragons or something destroyed the reincarnation channels in the first place to avoid the birth of a profetized great hero (yes ji ning xD)), this bastard used her to deter ji ning using the fact that she was the reincarnation of a great devil (why the f#$k did she lets herself be manipulated by something that was bygones, no idea =S) that as far as i know since i stoped reading at volumen 18, its tiring to deal with GT, i shall resume reading in the future.

She 'let herself' be manipulated because the guy was a Mental practitioner and could force people to stay loyal to him as long as one felt in his debt. That's why he had so many spies.

Ji Ning wasn't a prophetised hero or any such things. The attack on the big reincarnation thing was to make it much easier for the spies to infiltrate as there will be no paperwork about them

The real problem isn't her destroyed soul. Powerful enough beings can fix that. The problem is that Ji Ning's home region is a special place that make ressurection of destroyed soul almost impossible until the last chapter.

She is on the other side since the beginning. It is not a coup but a continuation of the Ancient Great War. Ji Ning's love was one of those spies got covered by the destruction of the channel.

Even if she want to defect, her master can still control her

He was far far stronger than her. She is a failure who seemed to failed the test while he was one of the most powerful Lords who was around since the Ancient time.

And also because the level of Ji Ning World is so low.In later parts, Soul seizing is no longer a viable tactac
