Kana Hanazawa is officially made of win - I know I thought she was brilliant when she voiced Nadeko (Bakemonogatari), but this takes it to a whole new level.

Just finished watching episode 3 and .. well, this keeps getting more and more interesting with every episode. Best episode so far and this is going to be probably the best show of the season .. if not the year.

So Johnny T. Itor becomes a contact of Rintaro's. That'll definitely have some consequences down the line. Confirming that the microwave is a time machine is likewise. I like that the show maintains a nice balance of its arc while coloring it with much humor. Rin and Kurisu have a fun chemistry. They can trade barbs equally, with great vigor.

Then there's the matter of the Large Hadion Collapser Hadron Collider "and the possible creation of a black hole of minuscule dimensions." But things of miniscule dimensions can have a great impact. A great impact indeed.

So Makise joins the lab only to leave when her theories go out the door. Liked her and Okabe's arguments. He was awesome when he saved Mayuri, Mayuri was so happy when there was finally another girl there.

Daru's a better hacker then i though he would be, can't believe he got in. So did that confirm that Makise did die? Or did someone else just die in their experiment.

Spoiler for Steins;Gate Episode 3:

Intriguing episode. Part of me thinks the "Human is Dead - mismatch" statement from the SERN e-mail (part of me wants to call it CERN like it's meant to be IRL ) is referring to the 'death' of Kurisu Makise midway through Episode 1 before the timeline shifted - though then again, it's more than likely that it's to do with an even unrelated to Rintarō Okabe.

Speaking of Makise, she certainly seems to be in disbelief over what she saw at the lab. Can't say I blame her - if you'd spent months disproving the ability to create a time machine, seeing one work (albeit in regards to a sent text message) right in front of her would make you wonder what the hell was going on.

Also, bloody hell - that was one hell of a hole the Phone Microwave left in the desk.

Still seems a mystery as to whether Okabe's talk of the agency (SERN) has valid meaning or is him just going delusional - though the introduction of John Titor as a contact of his starts to lead towards a thought that Okabe is far cleverer than anyone would ever give him credit for. Then again, this John Titor could be just a hoax

The interaction between Okarin and Kurisu was hilarious, even though they were just calling each other perverts. So its confirmed that the phone microwave is indeed a time machine, which causes Kurisu to run off in disbelief. Suzuha seems to know who John Titor is and even the IBN5000. Maybe she is...and now they hack Sern and discover that their mini-black hole mission was indeed a success, although apparently a human died from the experiment. O and if you pause right when the computer shows the HUMAN IS DEAD report, you can see right underneath it "JELLYMAN's report No.14." Hmm Jellyman...gel-banana...

Nice episode. Loved how they perfectly mix the serious tones and humorous tones.

Spoiler for Spoilertown:

A banana turns to gel when it is sent back in time with the phone microwave, correct? If you put a human in the place of that banana and send them back in time with a HUGE "phone microwave" (which would be the LHC in this case), you'd get a human gel banana. This proves that Kurisu is not the human they're talking about. If she was, she would've been a pile of jelly when Okabe found her.

So, it seems that the mystery further deepens, as Hououin delves deeper and deeper in the process of solving it. He did some leads now, as he sees the phone microwave work as a time machine and Daru (certainly more awesome than I first thought) able to hack into SERN's website.

But with all that like Kismet-chan said, the mix with the humorous tone is excellent to make it fun as well. I just love the banter between Hououin and Kurisu, from the way he says bitch and Christina, 'Tensai hentai shoujo', the way Kurisu approves of Daru calling Hououin hentai...everything is just gold, their chemistry is amazing. Too bad she has to leave when her theory is disproven, I hope she will come back soon. Mayuri is great as usual, with more cute sounds by Hanazawa Kana to be added to that video.

Now, for a random speculation: that girl with the braids that is tending to the bike (sorry, I forgot her name) is a bit suspicious. Sure, what she says may very well be true, and Hououin should really keep his voice down next time, but I still have an odd feeling...might be nothing, but I'll keep watching her.

I know Im probably the minority here, but so far this show has been flat out boring. I don't understand why either . We got time travel, mini black holes, and murder, but it doesn't feel very interesting.


Three episodes in and I still don't care anything about these characters. The main character is so annoying, I have no idea if Mayuri is gonna have some revalence to the plot or if shes just their to appease the moe crowed. Turns out Makise died in some alternate time line, though not knowing who she is yet just makes me shrug. Daru seems to be the only character that makes me chuckle.

Im glad that some kind of antagonist seems to be making its way into the plot in the next episode so things may pick up from there, but as it is now Im starting to lose interest in this show.
