The anime is basically following very closely to the original work, and the original work does not have a very fast paced story until about half way through the story. While there are limited number of action scenes, but they are all dramatic ones and are pivotal to the whole story.

You can probably dig out in the gaming section of this forum or other spoilers site if you really want to know where the story is heading to. The punchline is Steins;Gate is not your exciting action series. Steins;Gate is a drama with (some) action and parody. It is not action/parody with drama.

Action isnt really the problem. I am loving Kaiji S2 and Hana-Saku Iroha and there is little to no action in them.

The third episode felt way too decompressed. You can't pace an anime like a visual novel even if it's based on one. At least this episode had more of a narrative structure than the first two.

I haven't watch episode 3 yet, but I feel episode 2 is also heavy in narration. Of course, the trap and maid cafe action did distract the audience

I love the interplay between Okabe and Kurisu. Okabe's LARPing is awesome in general. Mayuri also finally became interesting this episode for the odd blank look she had on her face when Daru and Okabe were taking about the SERN experiment email.

The episode was fun, but I really do still enjoy episode 1 the best .

It would be funny to me if Okabe ends up having to face himself in the end as the main antagonist .

Anyhow, 8/10 for the episode. I thought it has been the weakest so far, but still good.

Mayuri is way too suspect now, she seems she will either be the villian or she will be the one to save the day later.

I loved this episode. Unlike another episode of another show I watched lately, the show really knows how to have fun with silly jokes and antics. I feel like the characters are interacting extremely fluidly, and the early conversation made me lol. I really like Kurisu at this point, but god damn that can't be hygienic to taste that.

So it involves trying to hax sern? Well, as usual it is easy to hax something, but as expected time travel is gonna be pretty ugly and could result in death... just looking at the bananas would be a note of that.

Rating: Umm, 9/10. Technobabble magical microwave gogo.

Oh yea, what the hell are they gonna do about the damage?

Very good episode! I didn't really think that it was too dialogue heavy. Rather, if the producers skipped dialogue at this point it would be rather fatal later on so I'm glad that they take their time.

Just watched Ep1 ... not sure what to think yet. The first half of the episode makes Mayuri seem like a figment of his imagination. But then in the 2nd half of the episode she's clearly being interacted with by other people, unless the fat guy and the TV repair man are also both figments or he just thinks she's talking with them as well.

PS: Why are there so many autistic female leads in anime sigh...

Just finished Episode 3. Loved all the humor, Hououin still cracks me up every time 'Christiiiiiiiiiiiina~'
Kinda worried they are going to dig too deep and get killed...
Still glad we are learning a little bit more each time, very eagerly waiting for episode 4!!

Still, what interests me more is not the fact the Satellite crashed and more about this new "Japanese Titor". In this case something way into the past has changed, but it feels as if it's simply been delayed -- instead of showing up in 2000 he comes up a tad later. In case the microwave does turn into a time machine, is there any chance that Titor is Okarin himself from different timelines?
Seems plausible, but the things that bothers is, he remember his memories when he moves from time line to another , so how comes he doesn't remember his real name from another time line then?

On a side note, the dead man that appeared on SERN's site could be the one that Mayuri was standing on his grave in ep1.

Okarin cracks me up so much. His interaction with Kuristina was just hilarious. It turns out she's less stuck up than I thought, she was very entertaining in this episode. She's the perfect jousting partner for Okarin.

The plot remains deeply interesting. I'm enjoying the slow pace of the anime so far. Like Blue-kun, I like how they're mixing up real life and fiction, it helps make the mystery a bit more enthralling somehow. Hearing about the large hadron collider reminded me how everyone used to freak out about it (I think a girl even killed herself over that... which didn't make any sense).
