Is Freezing a good anime?

So I heard someone mention that they were watching the anime Freezing and liked it. . .I tried it and got turned off by the blatant fan service of this massive boobed white girl as the first 40 seconds of the show was just fan service, before going to the opening theme. . .(which of course had more fan service)

Usually im indifferent to fan service as long as its not all in your face, yes I am a straight male, but seeing panty shots, big boobed women to the point of absurdity on cartoons All the time it seems now-days(especially when it does it to under-aged girls*cough*kamisamadolls*cough*)

anyway, is freezing good enough to try to ignore all the fanservice parts? or is the fanservice just there as a smoke screen to mask how shitty the show is?

Do you see the problem? And it will be the same every time. If you don't like the show then just don't bother with it. Try to make an opinion for yourself instead of relying on what others tell you for once. As for me I liked the anime but the manwha is just classes better. If you want to get into freezing no matter what then I'd go with the manwha.

Freezing is full of hot chicks fighting amongst one another - and ultimately against an enemy. And that's all it really is.

The thing is: none of the characters captivate you. They're all "dry". "Dry" as in ordinary. No personality. Satellizer could have - but - she pulls that annoying switch from badass-to-timid (like Rosario Vampire).

After 20 years of paying attention to anime, this sort of deal will never go away. Just go all the way back to Cutey Honey and Fujiko. I've never seen Cutey Honey, but I know Fujiko has some "meat" (personality) to go with her character.

And if a series markets itself as a fanservice series, then it is stuck as a fanservice series.

the show is about big bouncing boobs.. HOWEVER, once that no longer drives you crazy the show has a great story... I think.... At first I didnt think i would like it because normally big boob anime suck... But this one suprised me, it reminded me of a claymore type show mixed with Zero no Tsukaima...

The manwha is better. The anime is okay once you get past the fanservice.
