Well, despite all of the bad static in the air now with most viewers (and myself, to a certain extent), I've stuck it out this far. I plan to watch Blood-C to its very end, whether the ending is shitty or not. =_=;

Let me get this out of the way first:

AHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh Haruhi, the exposition in episode 11 was just so clunky and awkward, and seemed to assume that most of the people watching the show are idiots. Did they really have to so heavy-handedly explain that, yes, everything was a setup? Too bad some of the more OCD/observant watchers figured that out several episodes ago.

Hey CLAMP, reveals like this only really work when a watcher actually cares about the cast. The thing is, my impression is that many Western viewers couldn't care less about the majority of the characters (s for the Japanese viewers, who knows).

Gosh, what a waste of 11 episodes. I don't think that using 'but! there's a movie!' can work as an excuse.

Episode 12

Craziest finale I have seen in a long long time.
I thought the deaths at the beginning were funny (cannot wait for the uncensored BDs lol) but when night came it was wow just completely insane.
Too bad Fumito got away. I hope Saya's eye regenerates when we see her in the movie.

If wasn't for the gore (sadly censored) and this strong ending this serie would be a uber fiasco. I guess the final battle with Fumito-san will be in the movie.

6/10 just for the ending and the badass old Saya.

ps: She can't regenerate deep injures after all this time passed on the riverside? Pyrate Saya isn't so cool.

and about the "party".....
I am guro lover but this....really beyond my level

Final episode was pretty brutal when it comes to Saya's "school friends" & "sensei".
There weren't many survivors in the end of this experiment.
Saya's innovative thinking sure had me impressed. Her "dad" finally showed his true side.
It was a pretty good final episode. Looks like there may be a second season of this judging the way it ended.

Alright, so we've had plenty of brutal, albeit censored, deaths up 'till this point, but this last episode just takes the cake, especially near the end. Even I had to wince some at watching all of those people being turned into a human smoothie (sorry, I really don't know any better way to describe it).

On the positive side, it was awesome seeing Saya with all her memories and original fighting abilities back. That she could fight so well even without her sword has me giving her newfound respect.

All that having been said however, my detest for Guimauve dude has reached a near intolerable level. I share in Saya's frustration that she couldn't deliver the kind of merciless, painful death that that grinning sack of flesh oh so righteously deserves. I'll be looking forward with great anticipation to see what he has coming to him in the movie.

OMG

When the demon started stuffing people into its arm like a sack and it's face looking like a kid in a candy store, and one of the arms turned into a blender I couldn't stop laughing. BEST COMEDY EVER

Episodes 1-11 I give 1 meh and a half
Episode 12: 5 stars

Wow best episode of the whole series I loved it except for the censored scenes. I'm going to wait for the uncut versions. Also I don't like one eye Saya. Not good, it better regenerate later on in the movie or second season.

Did I understand correctly that her wish was to be freed from whatever self-imposed promise she's operating under in which she eats her own kind instead of humans?

So, was he trying to say that the Guimave was specifically made the way it was to get her to relish the taste of humans? As a sort of laying the groundwork to get her to break her promise? That she seems to want to break anyways, but is perhaps too honorable? to break on her own.

Am I really supposed to be rooting for her as a protagonist here?

I mean, sure, she's got boobs and a sword (oh wait, it fell apart at the end), but is that really enough to make me cheer her on?

Anyways, as long as you didn't take this show seriously, ignore the first 5 episodes, and have a healthy sense of campy humor, it was entertaining in a Night of the Living Dead way. I guess the planned movie will be her chance at getting her revenge on pretty-cafe-boy.

Spoiler for some notes of 12: First off, Fumito starts to kill off everyone forreal this time. The twins deaths were so gruesome,one of them were literally ripped in half. After Tokizane and twins were killed, Kanoko was next. Guess what? Badass Saya actually killed the thing before it ate her(Basically she doesn't need a sword to kill things,she relies on pure skill); but kanoko got killed anyways when tadoyoshi ate her or something.Turns out Tadoyoshi is some human/elder bairn hybrid. He was being brainwashed as well and sadly Saya had to kill him...but they had a sweet little moment before he passed. Class rep is killed protecting Saya from the gunfire of Fumito's men, admits he fell in love her. Basically the two villains left are Yuka and Fuminto. Fuminto releases some clamp-ish looking monster that basically start to have a gruesome massacre of the town. After Saya kills the monsters she goes after the helicopter that Fumito is on. She's shot in the head by Fumito before she can deliver the final blow and he escapes. blah blah Basically Saya loses an eye and starts to head towards the city....to be continue in the movie? oh and the dog says Saya wish was to stay herself. Spoiler for Ep. 11 & 12: Absolutely every single thing being fake was kind of a reveal, but not much (the "only Saya's class goes to school" day pretty much settled that the entire town was false instead of a real town being used as a staging ground for the experiment). Fumito being a villain, the coffee and guimauve being what they were...yeah, pretty much exactly what everyone's expected since episode 3 or so. Given that this show is not targeted at 7-year-olds (despite what the depth of the plotting would suggest), did anyone at all on either side of the Pacific not see this coming? About the only surprise was some of the bad guys betraying the main plot. I wonder why Yuka was spared? Lots of unanswered questions--just who the heck is Fumito and why does he have monstrous minions (not to mention influence over the government)? Where does Wata-inu come in. What is the source of the "compulsion" not to kill humans that Fumito mentions, and who put it on Saya? And we never did get the answer to who Saya promised to protect people. Completely over-the-top guro in Ep. 12 was either icky or laughable, but either way utterly in the way of any drama trying to be created. I guess Fumito is a successful villain since I'd like to see him stuffed in the blender bag, but I'm not motivated to bother with the movie to see it.
