I'm not even expecting KH3 to come after the 2.5 collection

I already own both Final Mixes, but being able to play them in HD with 358/2 upscaled (or re-made) is a must buy! It's now got me interested in Kingdom Hearts again.

Awesome! I never got around to chipping my PS2 so I missed out lol...

Would have got BBS Final mix, but the psp i use isnt mine.

If this is indeed getting localized, then it's very much going in my collection. Bout time we get a localized Final Mix.

Question is, what do I do with my present copies of KH1 and Re:Chain of Memories then?

I remember seeing some titles on the DS/3DS, if they're willing to spread the word to other brand consoles, why not release the main games there too? Is it just a tactic to get consumers to buy Sony products for the main games?

Keep them around

Original copies of games, movies, etc have a certain charm collections and re-releases lack.

I think. Square Enix has been stuck to Sonys hip on releasing main titles on Sony stuff ever since Sony first came to games.

If you didn't already know, the collection's 358/2 Days is just newly made cutscenes stitched together into a roughly 3 hours movie, not a remake or upscale of the original game. (Think the .hack//GU movies, idea is similar)

Not that you're missing much, the game was the worst of the franchise.

imho re:Coded on DS was way worse.

And yea, I had noticed that about 358/2 Days... and how the collection only has KH1 and KH:CoM (which I didnt like the gameplay much). I think I'll still get this tho, especially considering my decade old KH1 disc is scratched so the credits and secret scene wont play. I may wait for bargain bin instead though, which I think would happen quickly since its just a remake of a not that old game?
