Miho: I am, and this is my trusty servant Mako. We have driven the length and breadth of the land in search of tank crews who will join me in my school club at Ooari. I must speak with your commander and radio operator.
Guard: What? Driven in a tank?
Miho: Yes!
Guard: You're using an old brass!
Miho: What?
Guard: You've got an empty brass, full of bolts and she is shaking it around.
Miho: So? We have driven since the snows of winter covered this land, through the kingdom of Mercia, through...
Guard: Where'd you get the brass?
Miho: We found it.
Guard: Found it? In Mercia?! There's no tanks in mercia!
Miho: What do you mean?
Guard: Well, this is a demilitarized zone.
Miho: The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?
Guard: Are you suggesting that brass migrate?
Miho: They could be carried.
soldier: What? A swallow carrying a spent tank shell?
Miho: It could grip it by the rim!
Guard: It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a 10 pound brass.
Miho: Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your commander that Miho from Ooari is here?
Guard: Listen. In order to maintain air speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second right?
Miho: Please!
Guard: Am I right?

I can verify that Spam and baked beans, cooked in a large iron skillet over a campfire, is a tastey meal.

I guess the thing with Spam is that it is heavily salted and not meant to be eaten on its own. The same way you wouldn't eat salted beef or salted fish right out of the packaging.

*Gasp*

Kruschev once credited spam for being one of America's best inventions, because millions of Russian soldiers' lives were allegedly saved by these canned goods

I've been working on a fanfic GuP idea for a while. There a scene I'm considering where the male OC marches up to Erika and Maho to defend Miho's actions in the last tournament.

"I've had enough of this. You just don't get it do you ? She didn't do it because she wanted to lose. She did it to save her fellow tankers. You're so busy wallowing in your hatred of the 'disgrace of a tanker' Miho Nishizumi who refused to ignore her fellow tanker's lives, which sadly resulted in the defeat of your 'pure' school and family. You're so busy enjoying your wounded pride that you haven't stopped to think about what would've most likely happened if she had ignored them and let them die just so that you could win. Have you ever considered what would have happened if that crew had drowned ? No ? I don't think so. I'll tell you what would have happened.

The families of the deceased tankers would have petitioned for Senshadou to be banned and your school would have been slowly reduced to nothing due to lack of funds ! Do you think they would have just ignored those deaths and just let it be and brush it off like you would ? NO ! They wouldn't have ! Who in their right mind would send their sons and daughters to a school that values pride over lives ?

The fact that you'd have preferred to have had Miho Nishizumi ignore them, without even considering the consequences, makes you Black Forrest Peak tankers nothing short of self-centered brats who can't even think about anyone else but themselves. Not only are you failures as tankers. You're failures as human beings."

How would those two react to that ?

Thanks to the ova we can now spam about spam without getting banned.

It would be nice to see someone sub the Yukari's guide to tanks (?) part of the extras too.

This is an anime universe. The rules or mores of our world don't neccessarily apply. Parents who send their daughters to Black Forest Peak may well be aware that, in the words of the Nishizumi school, "You cannot be grandly victorious without sacrifice".

Just maybe, in this universe, parents accept the risk for the prestrige which accompanies an alumni of that school.

I can't believe I would ever see an anime do the Spam sketch. Whoever came up with that idea was a genius! A demented genius, maybe, but still a genius!

It's easy for them to talk about sacrifice when they've never set foot on the battlefield. They've never seen war with their own eyes.

Anyway, about that part. Should I delete that part or would you suggest something else ?

I think that would depend on how you choose to interpret the whole "Women drive tanks because men would use them to fight wars" scenario versus the apparent situation of those same wars still happening, somehow.
