This might be me being all nostalgic again but the second episode gave me quite a bit Mai HiME episode 2 vibes. So it seems quite certain now this won't be a just comedy. Too bad, now the possibility for epic fail is so much greater.
Spoiler for ep.2:

Hm...anybody out there willing to make a .gif out of Honoka's headbob in the OP? Either that or out of the posing ASIMO robot. (Or, if possible, both. >_> XD)
EDIT: Well, since nobody said anything, I guess I'll attempt it myself. (I do have Photoshop, but I haven't made an animation with it before, so this'll mainly be trial and error, I guess.) Last edited by Cat Megex; 2009-01-13 at 19:19. |

Music for the OP made the flurry that is the OP even more confusing for me
Oh well, I can't appreciate Ali's Project music anyway... As Good Smile Company is one of the sponsors for this show, their merchandising is following through, screenshots taken from Akibahobby Blog. Spoiler for 1/7 Akiha:
Spoiler for 2nd shot:
Spoiler for 3rd shot:
Price is unknown at this point of time, set for a July 2009 release. Since this is Good Smile Company, possible announcement of a 'Maid Roid' Nendoroid series? Spoiler for Nendoroid series annoucement?:

Personally as of yet I cannot compare this song to compositions like Baragoku Otome, Ankoku Tengoku or Hizamazuite Ashi wo Oname (their last truly succesful intro songs), but it is much better than Kotodama, Waga Routashi Aku no Hana, or Kitei no Tsurugi. And I do like this song. It does have something to it... My opinion can change one way or another after listening to the full version, as well as the second song in the single (most of the times it is better than the first one) But believe it or not, AliPro does experience a change of style. They are maturing. The cruel princess style doesn't really suit them any more, and this is why during last year it has been sort of like the dry spell. On the other hand, many fans expect from them to be what they have been for the last eight years. So this transition is not very smooth, not like it has been in 2001. So please do refrain from bashing this group if you know next to nothing about them. |

Okay, just watched the raw of ep 2. I don't see what some other people are complaining about; the new characters introduced are interesting, and I like the mecha action too. Further more, Lulu-bot is still very funny even though I have no idea what he is talking about.
Spoiler for :
Finally, my favorite new element in ep 2 is Soldier UL. Spoiler for :
Once again, I will review this again when the Subs come out. But this looks favorable; I like all the characters introduced so far. Lulu-bot would have to fight hard to keep his number-one position as MVP at this rate.

With his cape on, he's almost exactly SD version of Rad from My-Otome.
