Gokujou Drops - it's yuri ecchi-rific!
This yuri manga is done by female manga-ka Mikuni Hadzime. The first 2 chapters were first introduced as a preview compilation along with another series (of which I forgot) of Ichijinsha's Yuri Hime magazine called Petit Wildrose. Now the first volume is out and so far 3 chapters have been scanlated. From what I heard new chapters has been released through the mobile phone (I don't know how frequently though).
Now we have two three volumes! Here's the synopsis from solelo's blog site: Quote:
http://www.solelo.com/blog/index.php...it-wildrose-2/ Poor Komari-chan! Her "moe moe" traits will be her downfall in surviving that dorm room!

Na. She's the new toy there so it's normal she's the current center of attention. But it's not her fault, and the other girls just want to have a little fun with her; this is not really a harem manga!
She doesn't feel anything special towards Hime yet though, but that would begin to change pretty soon. Anyways, I'm still surprised of Mikuni's ability to make female-oriented yuri manga this hot. I eagerly await for the second volume.

Ahhh, I was wondering when some of those one-shots from Petite Wildrose would start coming out at series like they promised. Guess I lost track of stuff since I've been out of town working a lot lately and haven't been online as much. Thanks for the reminder, I read the first 3 already, and wow, they got a lot racier than the original one-shot starting with the 3rd chapter, I wonder if they are going for an almost Shoujo sect kinda thing.

Not really. This is advertised by the publisher as ecchi, and that's as far as it's going to get. If you're hoping for outright sex (not that I've anything against it), you'll be disappointed.

I actually really don't care for this manga that much so far. One of the main reasons I don't like a lot of shoujo manga is because often the men are portrayed as these predatory sex-starved beasts, and so far it seems most of the women in this manga act in the same manipulative and inconsiderate manner. Hopefully this changes soon, or I'll probably drop it, I'd rather read stories about love than animal lust and abuse.

It's smutty; I can't argue with that fact especially for peeps who aren't into that so no biggie. As for me, I find it far more entertaining than your everyday heterosexual ecchi series. I still find so freakin' amusing that this is aimed towards females!
But hey, stuff with targeted audiences don't really mean much overall except to publishers, I think.

No, seriously, TL manga (erotic shoujo manga) is all the rage lately, and most of Mikuni's works are TL. This manga is just a yuri version of the same thing.

Chapter 4 is out!!!
http://www.solelo.com/blog/index.php...jou-drops-ch4/ Cherries. Oh my god, the cherries! Dammit, this should be an anime series; stuff like this should utterly attract otaku fanboys and drive up DVD sales!

had time to read this over the past few days, and well, it's too smutty for my tastes.
I usually prefer yuri with fluffy stuff and greater emphasis on comedy, which this manga is not quite providing. Not sure, I feel that they are relying too much on the sexual harassment, which every chapter has!... and certainly I'm just too tired of that kind of development as of now... Quote:

Quite an enjoyable manga, I would say it's basically an ecchi version of Marimite. I am not really a fan of the "molestation means love" trope, though. Isn't there some manga where the shy girl turns the table at some point in the story and starts harassing the previously dominant one, I wonder?

It was sweet.
Although I'm not a fan of harrassement and too many girls touching one girl, the art was beautiful and hopefully Hime claim the girl all to herself. Hime should be the only one :P Hime is a cool beauty, indeed / Students living in the mansion are *cough* indeed "special" poor Komari... |
