I'm also posting this in the E3 thread. IGN just put up a link to the Japanese Smash Bros. Brawl where Nintendo's asking fans who to fill the rest of the roster with.
I sent in my choices. They're for the most part obscure characters since I figured they should continue what they started with Mr. Game and Watch: Mike (from the Star Tropics series) Nester, aka Lark (from Pilotwings 64 and Nester's Funky Bowling for the Virtual Boy) Little Mac (from the Punch Out!! series) Ike (from Fire Emblem - Path of Flame) Mike Anderson Anubis I left out where the last two are from since I want to see if anyone can figure out which obscure Nintendo series they're from. Here's a few hints: -Their games were on the SNES -The second game, despite being developed in Japan, was never released there -Should Nintendo remake or continue the games, they would be perfect for the Wii So, anyone want to take a guess?

No other Fire Emblem character deserves a place more than Sigurd from Seisen no Keifu. I mean he starred in the highest selling FE game and for the most part he gets little next to no recognition. |

I always figured they'd either call it SSB Brawl or SSB Rumble
Solid Snake seems like a really weird inclusion. I hope there's a cel-shaded Link (instead of Young Link) and a phazon-colored Samus. And maybe a non-wussy pokemon. And Viewtiful Joe. Edit: And I can't wait to see how they incorporate the Wario Ware minigames. showtime だ!

Wow, Metaknight looks like 0wn.
Yeah, Snake looks way out of place with Pokemons and elves and hopefully overgrown apes. And they could have all 3 Links, that would be the best Hopefully they'll have all the old characters back. I see no reason not to. |

I still wonder though---- I thought they stuck to the convention where they only use Nintendo characters. I wonder why they changed.
It IS funny, though, that the PS is getting all of its nearly-franchised material taken away. It's got nothing, now that is solely for the PS. Microsoft is betting the crap out of the other companies with monopolies on good games like Halo.
