Rumiko Takahashi also ventured successfully with Ranma 1/2. So I guess Arakawa-sensei is just continuing to prove that Shounen is not just a man's only field (if the sensei is a female of course).

I'm told that CLAMP insists Angelic Layer is a Shounen series... lol
If you look at it as JUST a fighting robot show, I guess I could see that....heh

Angelic Layer is shounen because the manga ran in a shounen magazine. Just like Chobits, XXXHolic and Tsubasa are shounen manga, because they are published in shounen magazines. Just because it's CLAMP doesn't mean it MUST be shoujo. :P

Question Series length

Just a n00b question.

I started watching FMA yesterday and saw up to chapter 10. I liked it very much.
What I wanted to know is if the length reported at animenfo (52 chapters) is true. Is the anime finished? If not, is it supposed to continue even after chapter 52?

Thank you very much for answering my first post.

Episode 47 aired in Japan, yesterday.

There are four left to end the anime.

There are only 51 episodes actually...

From BONES website.

ハガレン 最終回、時間変更!!

いよいよ、大詰め、ハガレンの放送です。
が、
最終回 10月2日(土曜日)の
放送時間が、17時30分~
30分時間が早まります。

"Hagaren, Finale, Time change!!
At last, the end, Hagaren's broadcast.
But...
Finale October 2nd (Saturday).
Time of broadcast is 17:30hrs.
30 minutes earlier."

So unless someone is going to say or think it is a one-hour finale, 51 episodes it is.

If it's coming from Yebyosh, then my bad.

Up until now I thought it was 52.

Ack, I do make mistakes, those 'lucky' few who still have my pathetic 1st translation of chapter 34 can attest to that (as well as that horrible blunder of mixing up Eva's director which thankfully kj1980 corrected me).

But for the date and episode count in question, it is fairly certain since the only time FMA pulled a 1 hour special is when they presented episodes 41 and 42 together because one of their's original schedule was pre-empted for the Olympics.

It's almost certainly 51 episodes, even if you don't take the web site into account, Funimation licensed 51 episodes of FMA, and it just wouldn't make sense to license everything but one episode.
