You should check the other forums. Playback help is for these kind of questions.
I'm sorry, but I can't help you with your problem. You probably have something wrong with your codecs.

Try VLC out, its a great media player that should be able to play it (even though it fucks up some times).
Then you can always try to get a newer version of the right codec.

Divx Player screws up here too but my standard player, realplayer plays it without any problems.

VLC is another good option
BSplayer as well

or just get the K-Lite codec pack here (http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm) to be able to play the file just right in Divx or Winmedia player

You'll want to try running the file under another player, such as Media Player Classic or BSplayer. If your ffdshow decoder is really old, you'll also want to update that as well. Alternatively, you can try running the file under VideoLAN Client.

cuz divx is crap, everyone should seriously get VLC, it playes every file media player and divx wouldn't.

Turn the volume up or unmute it.

Are you able to use VideoLAN Client, or are there no precompiled binaries for your OS?

perosnally i had no problem the episode.

try uninstalling divx and xvid and install the ffdshow filter that i belive is in the link above.

ffdshow can decode both codecs, and will probably fix the problem.

I run Debian Linux. There are other alternatives I could install. I just ran a search for 'videolan' and it gave me "vlc - multimedia player for all audio and video formats" so i guess I could do that if I really wanted to. But I don't. Its just a couple episodes of Naruto, and although it was kinda awkward without sound I could read the subtitles so I watched it anyway out of boredom. Oh well, I just won't download from these guys again

omg, the whole damn problem could be solved if you just get VLC.

VLC played allt he files windows can't, it even played this file that I was about to delete cuz the sound wasn't working guess what,

VLC no problem. I don't know why anyone wouldn't get it. Between WMP and VLC- everything works.

We encoded the episode using the Xvid container, not DivX. You can try downloading the latest ffdshow, or just install xvid. Media Player Classic and Videolan Player have built in decoders so they might help as well. If you're on Linux, I suggest using mplayer.
