because as kurousagi said Asuka's gift allows her to fully utilize or maximize other gifts, for maximum damage to pest I suppose. besides Asuka+deen was hidden so it's an ambush.

She hasn't used hers on him either. I imagine that's because they aren't used until some later point in the novels.

This is quite surprising, I always thought that carrots were a rabbit's favorite food. Not to say I thought it was the only thing they eat.
