The series is indeed wide open for another season, given the way it ended.

Have Saki in there, I'll watch. Anything else, I don't cared.

I want it to see it too. Though it's better if Okouchi isn't given too much free reign next time, because the guy can be a nutter. And it's also preferable if the staff were given enough time to plan things. Because there were clearly more than a few hiccups at the end.
That's how I feel. Put a good editor on him to keep him in check and reel him in if he goes too far off.

Again, this series has huge potential for future storylines.

Now if only Sunrise would go back to this after trying to emulate its insanity with Cross Ange. XD

Hey guys and girls, seems that Animax-Asia just picked up Kakumeiki Valvrave for November! What could possibly go wrong....

With that said, I have a bad feeling that they'll pick up Cross Ange after Valvrave. Ugh!

At least Cross Ange isn't as ridiculous as this series was so far.

Of course it could become cheesy or worse a Valrave second half.

Valvrave way better than that garbage. Cross Ange is my first mecha

This, so much this.

I log in for the first time in three months and actually see a post stating that Cross Ange is better than VVV. All I can say is that you either have questionable tastes in anime or you were being somewhat of a troll for lol reasons.

That said, where has the quality of anime gone in these last few years? I have to admit that there aren't much good anime this season. The saving grace(s) for me are Psycho Pass 2, Log Horizon 2, Shigatsu and prob GBF and/or Fate. Though next season does look bright for me since Aldnoah & Tokyo Ghoul are coming back. I'm also looking forward to K second season later next year as an added plus.
-------------------------------

Anyway, I think we have to face the music people. VVV isn't coming back. No word whatsoever and no hints of any kind hinting at a possible sequel. T_T

I really wish that Sunrise just made a second season of this show instead of Cross Ange. Heck, the latter isn't selling as well as VVV either, and VVV's sales, while not phenomenal, were pretty decent as well.

One must wonder what the Third Galactic Empire is composed of. Undoubtedly, it involves Sakamori pilots, but what the other states?

Dorssia and JIOR have high potential. The former thanks to contacts with A-drei and Kremhild who have succeeded their revolution. The only unsure state is ARUS, who I believe to be the new enemies fought in the flash-fowards.

Heh, what a coincidence! Except I don't think Haruto would be that good...against...whoever he's fighting.

For some reason, I feel like Valvrave and Ange are opposite when it comes to the Sliding Scale of Idealism and Cynicism. Valvrave being Sunrise's Gurren Lagann and Ange being EVA. Even during the dark moments, Valvrave often kept to it's idealist and somewhat light-hearted ones. While some idealism still comes into play in Ange, the series itself is quite dark and cynical.

I gotta say, I'm sad that this series ended like it did.

Apparently, this was to go on for several more seasons, but they had to conclude it much earlier because after the controversy surrounding the first part, the ratings took a hit.

Too bad, because it has a world that they could explore further, and the show's sales weren't half bad.

Meh, I care more more for spinoff on Saki. Especially her life after the event of Valvrave, I really want to find out.

The ending sucked with a huge time-gap and a cop-out. All the male pilots were killed off, the main character died without his memories after being sold out by his friends, and Iori was apparently forgiven for staging a coup and shooting him in the heart. Just give me the Saki spin-off and call it a day.

Somehting tell me in the next or future Super Robot Wars series, Valvrave and Cross Ange will intersect.

And there'll be Madoka Magica references thanks to the the recurring themes and actors in both series.

How much would you bet that Salia and Akira would do this upon meeting?
