The T1 Heavy is a misnomer; it's a bigass tissue box, not a heavy. Whenever I see that thing rolling around, I think 'LUNCHTIME!' rather than actually fearing it like I would the KV-1.

If you really want to try Heavy gameplay on the American line, I'd suggest grinding for the M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman actually. It may only have the 105 derp and the M1A2 76mm, but it's a far smaller target than the T1 Heavy, and it has some seriously kickass front armour; 101mm, which is better protection than most equivalent tier Heavies, more than even the 100mm front armour of the Tier 7 Tiger, and sloped to boot.

Also, the Jumbo shares many modules with the Easy Eight (meaning you can grind them beforehand and never have to suffer a stock E8), and also leads to the M6 on the heavy line.

something always troubled me in this game is penetration. sometime, my Crusader's 110/180/30 mm penetration gun bounced off KV 1 armor (Hull: 75/75/70, Turret: 95/75/75) at point blank, can anyone explain?

That's because the penetration figures on the gun are average penetration values. The damage and penetration values are actually a mix-max range, not a fixed single value. Check your tank stats on the right hand side of the garage, or the mouse over your shell icons: you'll see the minimum - maximum damage values for your rounds. You can have a gun whose listed penetration value is above a certain thickness of armor and still fail to penetrate because your shot rolled to deal less penetration than your average. This of course isn't taking into account stuff like shot angle and such.

If you want to look deeper into Penetration including angles and such, there a nice long video by World of Tanks a few weeks ago.

Yes indeed. However, we are still looking for additional individuals to pitch in. Maybe one or two more and we can get a clan going. A total of $13.90 is needed, split amongst 4 ~ 5 people, its not a lot.
