Isn't it Lim-Dall Young? Meaning the initials should LDY? So why are you guys writing it as "IDY"?

I'm going to wait until we have the full translations before saying anything more than these things: It seemed to me like he was already feeling guilty even while he was using his power. The time he was biting his lips during the battle, Chapter 196 or latter part of Chapter 195, I think.

And what did Kazuha's spirit say to him? What was he thinkin and saying after he saw all that stuff from the past (he did see it all, right?)?

Sorry, I hadn't seen the raw Chapter 196 yet at that point. I've looked over the raws for Chapters 188 through 196 now, so now I know you were talking about Kazuya's actual younger (half-?) sister, the Project Arcadia Subject 01. She's the daughter of a Legendary Pandora, so I expect her version of the power, if she does have it, to be even more prominent and stronger than Kazuya's. I wonder if Kazuha had this power?

Also, I wonder if there's a way for Kazuya to use his power in a way that the Pandora who want to resist it are still able to. And I think he should also consult with them about it the next time he uses it, like planning the whole thing out and acting on the plan, so that the Pandora aren't being controlled completely against their will. I'm not sure if it'll happen like this, but I hope something similar to this does happen.

On the topic of acting more like a Nova than a human, you do have to consider the fact that he's a possessor of a Stigmatic Body. That automatically makes him more Nova-like than other people. And even the Pandora actually become closer to Nova the more they use their powers.

That would really not be a good thing. And I doubt Kazuha had anything like that, she couldn't even use Freezing, thankfully.

And yes, he needs to talk to his friends about this come the next Clash, can't afford to have any more NTR incidents, now can we? Though I'm sure some would disagree because they only care about an MC gaining more power, regardless of the cost. Man, I remember when courage was a hero's most desired trait, now it's all about strength. Sad, it really is.

I'm thinking it may not really be a retcon, though, but just that everyone always thought she'd had a true Stigmatic Body when all she had was just something quite similar to one, but still something different (she must've had a special kind of body, at least, or else she couldn't have had those special abilities like being able to run up a tree the way she did as a child). I'm just thinking it's bit messed up, I mean, what about those "Legendary Stigmata"? They're said to have originated from Kazuha, right? Not directly from Maria Lancelot, but from Kazuha herself? I'm worried that the Pandora he controlled, except for maybe Stella, and their Limiters will all be pretty mad and maybe even antagonistic towards for him for this, so he'll have to tread carefully while talking to them about this.

She did have a Stigma Body, but she didn't consider herself an ally of humanity; after all she killed her mother, unintentionally drove her father into despair and watched him die, and preferred more to be around people like herself than "ordinary" humans. Not to mention she lived alone with Kazuya during her Pandora days, so she wouldn't have to live with Gengo any longer.

And if you mean the Heroic Stigmata, those indeed came from Kazuha. Though at this point they seem to be all but meaningless, as they've proven ineffective against the more powerful Novas that have appeared as of late. But she did indeed have a Stigma Body, though hers was only around 12% while Kazuya's has skyrocketed since the opening chapter. He's clearly much more Nova than human now, I just hope he doesn't start acting like one, or that would really suck.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "Pandora-ish" version; as far as I can tell, Freezing is Freezing. And a Pandora that can use Freezing is much more Nova than human. That's why Gengo created the Limiters, so their partners could remain human. Sorry if I'm going off on a tangent here, I just don't understand what you meant.

Definitely, he's gonna have to work hard to retain his humanity amidst his newfound power, let alone keep good relations with his classmates. Because if they begin to see him as a threat, oh boy, it will be even worse than the early chapters, because now it'll be Kazuya that's hunted. Though maybe that'll bring Satellizer back into the "main heroine" status, because she's been sidelined for over fifty chapters or so. Hopefully that changes, we'll see.

Yeah, the "Main Heroine" role needs to return to Stella already. But I'd hate it if it happens as a result of Kazuya being antagonized. Although if that's what Lim-Dall wants to do, then so be it - we'll just have to live with and hope things get better. But I really don't want Kazuya to be antagonized or viewed as a threat even by his own classmates, and I really don't want it to where there's no talk between Kazuya and Pandora+Limiters where he tries to explain everything and gain their trust

@Kurohane: We still have to see if the Pandora and Limiters hate or antagonize him as a result of this and, if so, what he's going to do about it, if anything at all. I don't think this should be completely glossed over.

I do agree that most people are looking for qualities in Kazuya he just doesn't have, but I also understand their dissatisfaction to an extent. It has to due that the author took him out of focus for so long, that with even this new development, it's far too late. That he had a good following in the introductory arcs when Kaho was still around makes it even worse.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But still, I think Kazuya needs to have a good personality and bearing as a main male lead - if he can consult the Pandora and their Limiters about his powers later and asks them to trust him, and they're willing to, that's good. I just also think he should make sure to regulate the power-output for his ability such that the affect Pandora can still resist if they want to, or else they'd - understandably - probably hold a grudge and would antagonize him which is bad.

And if the leader is skilled enough, they'll be followed. That whole "puppeteering" thing is definitely more a Nova trait, humans don't need to control others to make them follow. I doubt Kazuha did, even though Yu-Mi was basically the leader of the Numbers, she was in charge so her comrades followed her. It's really that simple.

I hope it doesn't come to his little sister having to protect him, if she'll even be awakened from her current state of being stasis by then, as I hate even to sit there and look at the main heroine of the series being stopped from getting to the series' main hero, whom said heroine loves in most of these situations, by his sister of all people. It makes it look like the sister might also be jealous of the main heroine, which also suggests that the sister might be a brocon (which I don't like). It's better for the main hero to have a sister who is actually supportive of his relationship with the main heroine, rather than one who is against said relationship.

If she doesn't stop Stella from getting close to Kazuya in those situations, that'd be good, but hopefully she won't have to protect him at all.

I hope the scanlations catch up the raws soon. I'd love to be able to read these chapters scanlated in English and it'd also be great to not have to talk in spoiler tags like this.

Precisely, he needs to learn to lead without his powers. Though so help me, if Gengo says "just as planned" at the end of this arc, I will murder him. Here he is, trying to free the Pandoras from Chevalier, only to hand them over to a new master? I sincerely hope that's not the case.

If there's a sequel, it would make a cool lead-in. Or possibly in the epilogue after the Novas have been completely defeated, only for a new threat to rise up. We'll see though.

At least I hope not anyway, bad enough he has Rana and Ouka to contend with along with Satellizer, but adding a half-sister to the mix? Ditto, though since the chapter releases have gone down to 1 a month, it's been easier for scanlators. Though some are very picky, preferring tankubons to web scans (and I don't blame them). Though the next chapter should be up sometime this week, keep your fingers crossed.

Only for a second, though. Then he could release the ability's control on them and say something badass and/or really great that's leader-worthy and they'll follow him on their own. And it's also true that he should try to control the power output on the ability and keep it at a level where its affect can be resisted to an extent by those affected.

Yeah, I agree here; a sequel might be a good idea. The current Freezing manga will have to end a good note for that, though, probably. If it ends badly or if it's not that popular when it ends, I doubt a sequel would be a good idea.

Hopefully less flexing and more leading, then that would make indeed make him the true leader of the Pandoras. He'd have succeeded where his father miserably failed, amazing that such a man can come from such a dubious background. Guess you really can't judge a book by its cover, can you?

Yeah, I agree here; a sequel might be a good idea. The current Freezing manga will have to end a good note for that, though, probably. If it ends badly or if it's not that popular when it ends, I doubt a sequel would be a good idea.

No kidding, I really want the good guys to win this one, despite everything Gengo and Maria have said about their efforts being futile. If Fate is absolute then what's the point of living? So losing is not an option, despite what some may believe. Be interesting to see how it's all resolved.

Yes, if not this week then possibly next week. Though we'll have to wait until September or so when Volume 28 is released, before we see Chapters 190 and beyond. But it'll be worth it, I'm sure of it.

Problem is we don't know much about what the fate of humanity is, much less how to stop it. Plus, we don't have a very reliable cast of characters to thwart it, considering for a while now, they need to be saved by the next big plot hax out of nowhere.

You may be asking for too much. For a while now, the story has shown signs of milking it's success, by catering to certain fans by introducing more and more "well defined" female characters in an attempt to earn more profit. So much so, the story has been stalling, to the point these sudden revelations lose any sense of impact or coherency. Now that Kazuya has this power to make Pandora's devoted to him, no doubt this will turn more into a harem and borderline hentai. It started to become that way when Ouka showed up, changing from the love triangle, but she was always depicted as another hopeless suitor, much like Rana. However, then it started gaining force when the legendary Pandora showed up, who by all rights are Kazuya aunts. Yet, Cassandra was constantly highlighted as an obstacle for Satellizer, and that doesn't stop Gengo from wanting the boy to "lead" with the legendary pandora at his side, put into new perspective coming from the guy who wanted his son to make babies with his sisters.

If you think that this could not turn out the way I've said, because Kazuya has stated several times that he only loves Satellizer, the author can still ship tease him with other female characters even if he's in a relationship with her. He only has to make sure the two of them continue to not go anywhere in their relationship. Look at Sword Art Online, Kirito has been a relationship with Asuna since Aincrad, but that doesn't stop the author from introducing another female character(s) in every arc afterwards, and having her(them) fall in love with him.

If you want to use Sword Art Online as an example, then I'd say there's a chance that Kirito will end up Asuna in the end despite all of the other girls who're in love with him also being there. The only girl in the series who can be a good rival to Asuna is Alice. Everyone else has already given up. And chances are, the virtual Kirito will stay with Alice in the virtual world while the real Kirito (Kazuto) will marry Asuna and live with her in the real world.

So anyway, yeah, even though there are other girls who also love Kazuya, and not just Stella, Kazuya could still end up with her in the end because she's still the main female lead and Freezing is a Shounen manga. Most Shounen series still follow the "First Girl Wins" Trope, and this one could, too.
