I think the story more than makes up for it, had some pretty nice emotion jerking music too, like Xion's theme.

Kingdom Hearts as a series in my opinion has a flawless soundtrack.

You think the dub will change this line?

Xion:....
Roxas: Who else will I have ice cream with?
Axel: (Forever Alone) ;_;

Also, this interaction from ReChain of Memories...

Repliku: Sora... You're always trying to worm your way into my heart!
Sora: Hold on... When did I ever do that?
Repliku: Oh, so you forgot about THAT too?! You never cared...it NEVER MATTERED TO YOU!

Maybe I am thinking too much but I thought the actors laughed a lot after choosing those words.

Best dialogue ever.

I thought it's the exact sentence that's also in the original 358/2 days english localization?

Yes, that's just what he's asking, if they'll change it to something more fitting voices.

Saw it coming, but looking forward to it anyway. More backlog!

Hopefully they update the Gummi Ship to be like in KH2. Also, I thought I had read that CoM was going to get the same battle system as KH2 and the new KH1, but it looks like it's keeping the card system (per Siliconera).

That's the problem of the translators, not the voice actors.

To be frank, I never noticed how off he sounds like in the english version because I was busy laughing when that dialogue came up I get what he's trying to say but it's still hilarious.

I agree with that video though, the meaning comes across with a subtle difference with that line. But at least the japanese won't make me laughed like I did in the US version..

Check the secret behind "Dearly Beloved." It makes the song even more beautiful.

My knowledge of music isn't large enough to make any connections.

He's saying Dearly Beloved is based on the sound of a heart beating. You can hear it slightly in the background in the link he posted.

Personally though I think it's just a coincidence it's in-sync with the music. You can make tons of claims that's what the inspiration was but that doesn't mean it's true.

Yeah, I think it's probably coincidental too. I'm surprised you didn't seem to notice the loud thump-thump though

I wonder what's up with these games and the voice actors' performance getting duller and more unenthusiastic every game.

Actually, I thought Sora in 3D was too enthusiastic at times. Xemnas sounded the same, Epcar's obviously improved as Ansem, MX sounded better too. The only one I felt was lacking compared to past games was Axel/Lea.

I still dislike Disney's choice for the English old Master Xehanort. With how... animate his hand motions are in Birth By Sleep, I expected his voice to have the same level of theatrics and enthusiasm as Ansem himself. Instead, I just hear a generic raspy old man's voice.

There was some symbolism for choosing Leonard Nimoy for the role of Master Xehanort though. T'was sort of a counterbalance to Mark Hamill doing the voice of Eraqus. Both played Spock and Luke Skywalker respectively which were popular characters from big-name rival science-fiction franchises, somewhat mirroring the two characters' rivalries as growing Keyblade Masters.

And I don't care what anyone says, Xemnas' English voice is pure sex.

I still wish Billy Zane voiced Ansem, but Richard Epcar is doing a fine job anyway.
