If you are serious about making AMVs, you really should get the software that would let you extract that sound from your DVD. I don't have my DVD here, so I can't help you (moving today actually).

This is absolutely not only for higurashi.
most of posters of anime with a good amount of popular girls are simply fanservice. this is extremely soft, especially when you look at some posters from others shows.

I've seen a lot of promotional art for many shows. It is one thing to do that with romantic-comedy anime, but this is mainly a horror anime and has way more art like that than needed.

i beg to differ about the bold part.
if you still think it is a horror anime after the answer arcs, i think you might change your standard of "horror anime".
Considering the anime (and original story), the amount of "cute" stuff and all should be the biggest part of the pictures you should find of Higurashi.
While the bloody parts of the anime are quite heavy, they are really a small part of the whole show itself.

i'm more surprised that they still didn't show a lot of batsu game pictures yet. i hope they will soon put some cosplay on posters (legendary Maid Keiichi, huhuhu)

I made a compilation of sounds I believe made up the Onikakushi beginning... take note this is from the sound novels so it may be a bit different than the ones in the anime though I believe they do just as good as a job.
