This may sound weird, but i havent thought about this happening since when i was 8 years old. back then i wanted to be the mouse in Tom and jerry (you can LOL now).
but now i'm comfortable with being the spectator. while anime does draw me in almost completely, i always see the major differences from reality and they bug me. anime is just too simple for me to live in. And my life is far from perfect for me.

I would always have liked to be in Ranma 1/2 - not as a participant per se, but as an observer a la Hiroshi or Daisuke. Wouldn't like to be in the middle of that insanity, but watching everyday from a reasonable distance might be cool.

I wouldn't mind living in an anime world that Ed of Full Metal Alchemist comes from, or Ginko from Mushishi now that I think about it. It seems like everywhere those two characters go, they run into someone who is willing to put them up for awhile, with no strings attached. Try that in the real world, and usually someone ends up dead, or raped...........

Hm... well... most of the anime are not part of the "alive-friendly" variety. Like Hellsing, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Saiyuki. I'd be dead in five minutes!
But I would LOVE to live in the Loveless or Lucky Star universe. The latter is because I'd love to meet the girls and talk to them, but the Loveless is because I would gladly stay a virgin just to keep cat ears and a tail!

My simple answer is "no".
A slightly more qualified answer is: occasionally, but only in relatively realistic anime series which are (idealised) representations of normal life in Japan. However, that is more of a liking for an idealised Japanese lifestyle than a desire to live in a fictional realm. |

Have you ever wished that you lived in an Anime?
No, not really. Then again, if the violence and crime keeps increasing in my city, I may found myself living in a much shittier version of Roanapur.
