(L) Concrete Revoltio: Choujin Gensou Anticipation

Apparently, a new original anime titled 'Concrete Revolutio Choujin Gensou'. It's a TV series and will air in Fall 2015. Seiji Mizushima will be the director.

Plot Summary/Premise:

Tokyo is flooded with countless heroes — chōjin — during the time of "apotheosis." Their origin stories are all different. While some were altered by evil organizations, others cames from space. While some came from magical worlds, others came into being as fairies from ancient times. While some are robots built by scientists, still others are anachronistic robots, out of place and time. But the Japanese government could not simply close its eyes as these superheroes run rampant!!

Looks pretty good so far. When I first saw the title, I immediately knew this is the anime original title Bones is planning to work this fall. Character designs attracted me (notably purple-haired loli who looks like a short-haired Dalian) and the overall color palette is saturated done right. Will add to my watchlist.

We all know about original concepts: they almost always follow Murphy's Law.
I'll probably not pick this up. Many original anime have fell flat on its face lately.

Considering the premise involves Superheroes, and this is Shou Aikawa, I can totally see that .

It actually reminds me of a module from a really old superhero rpg I read back in the 80's ... was it for the game "Champions"? I forget now.

If that's the case this might turn out to be darker than the impression that the synopsis is giving me. Of course he could just be using the premise of having an abundance of superheroes.

Heroes huh, will give it a watch since it's got heroes but if theres a lack of capes, I won't be a happy camper.

Actually is it superheroes or just heroes they going with?

If it's the former then capes are a must, if it's the latter then meh whatever.

BONES producer said in the other interview that they are working on some dark superhero show. So I presume, he meant this one.

Well, this seems to go with Japanese concept of super heroes like in the old days manga like Kamen Rider, Kikaider and that kind of stuff.
