Shouko was close but ends up losing to Minko. I did manage to get Nano right. I was totally wrong on the third match. Eucliwood ends up in last place.

Poplar is strong and should take the first match. Mio is strong and isn't really facing tough competition so she'll take the third. Last group doesn't really have strong characters. I think Katou Marika will win.

Minorin was awesome early on...but Captain Marika got better as she went...while starting competent (how rare is that?). Usually the teen protaganists start out being bad and in some cases stay bad (just lucky) until the midpoint of a show. Or they are overpowered at the start. Marika learns as she goes, but the show has her reasonably skilled enough to handle what is thrown at her.

And even when she does mess up, "everything works out because we are pirates", right?

(The only actual fight going on this match seems to be between the Ro-Kyu-Bu and the Kei-On-Bu.)

Kinda sad Miu didn't make it, I liked her in the show. Or rather, she was my favorite Takanashi sister from the show. Rather straightforward picks for today's matches for me.

Another day where I manage to get all 3 winners right. They all did about as well as I thought they would, too.

Shana isn't completely washed up yet. I'm not sure about her chances of winning the tournament but she should make it out of Round 1 at least. Uta looked good in preliminaries but I suspect it was a large overperformance like many of the other minor Saki characters. Rika looked okay in preliminaries. This may be a chance for one final win for Higurashi and the Saimoe 2007 Champion. Miu and Himawari are decently strong but are outclassed by drawing Sena as their opponent.

Rika (the other previous champions, Azusa and Taiga, made to the 2nd round)
Sena (it's either Sena or Miu, but Haganai is a more popular series which is a significant factor)
