Mirai Nikki (10 minutes OVA)

http://www.mangaoh.co.jp/php/search_...ey=gentei_0909

There's going to be an OVA (Pilot anime) for Mirai Nikki volume 11, it seems.
Flag for a real TV anime?! Either way, an OVA only for now?

Should a thread even be created right now?
Oh well...

I am surprised they haven't made an anime for this yet. But I am glad they didn't. This is one series where they cannot do an anime-original ending - it would ruin it so so so so very much.

I can't wait to watch it. I hope they choose a good staff/studio to work on this.

So it's just an OVA after all... and not until September? I sure hope this is a sign we'll get a TV series someday. Thanks for the info !

Agreed. It's best for them to wait until the manga is over, which should happen soon. I'm betting on spring 2011 for a TV anime.

An OVA? Hmm, I guess it's still better than nothing.

I can't WAIT to see everyone's favorite yandere in motion XD! I was hoping they would come out with some series or another(even if its a short OVA) since the manga is getting near its end.

http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/shop/sp/shop_sp_137.html

From Moonphase:
> 監督:細田直人
> 脚本:高山カツヒコ
> キャラクターデザイン:平山英嗣
> サブキャラクターデザイン:渡辺るりこ
> アニメーション制作:アスリード

Director: Hosoda Naoto
Script: Takayama Katsuhiko
Character Design: Heiyama *something*
Sub-Character Design: ...............
Studio: Asread

.........
Uwaa, everyone's trauma just reappeared.
Director Hosoda + Asread... We know how Minami-ke Okawarai turned out, right?
Heiyama... Remember him from Yugioh. No problem here though...

Dammit!

Well, thankfully, they should have a complete series to work with if/when they start the TV Broadcast. That's difficult to screw up.

Not that it doesn't happen, though...

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. Thank god they don't have Studio Deen animating it. Overall, its an ok staff. No one really outstanding so far but no one really bad. So overall I am content for now. I want to see who is doing the music for this.

I'm excited. It's basically the same staff that worked on the Shuffle! anime and those guys deserve all the praise in the world for doing one of the best harem shows based on eroge that I have EVER watched.

Seriously, when I first watched Shuffle! back when it was airing I already thought it was very well made, but, you know, after reading the actual novel it was based on you realize this staff made a miracle. They turned something HORRIBLE into a very entertaining piece of anime.

Now to wait!

EDIT: Also, thinking a bit more about this, remember the very same staff was the one who basically created Yandere Kaede. It's obvious they have a lot of experience in this matter and we can count on Yuno's yandere-ness being perfect in the OVA!

Not so bad. I've liked some of the series that Hosoda Naoto has worked on, such as ROD the TV and Petopeto-san.

I can't disagree more with this: while Shuffle (VN) wasn't anything stellar, the "purpose" of this one was more a treat for the usual niche market of otakus, looking for their fetish or whatsoever.
The anime was basically a very basic rondo of the same jokes (which wasn't a good point from the VN either), with shallow characters (they hardly explain the main girls, aside of primula) and just go totally whacky with the triangle Kaeda-Asa-Rin (personality change, inconsistencies, etc... I think Vexx almost lost his cool regarding this "charming part").

The whole forced yandere stuff about Kaede might be entertaining, but it really doesn't do anything with Shuffle, let alone the quality of the anime which is very debatable.

I'm afraid I fail to understand your point. It seems to me as you're both upset (well, this might not be the world, let's go with displeased, then) with the changes made by the staff (which, to me, were arguably good and managed to give the series a climax, something the novel completely lacked), and yet, you admit that the original material was horrible and uninteresting with bland characters that most of the time lacked any sort of personality?

If this is not it, then I'm sorry. But either way, whatever flaws the series had, and it had some, of course, as it was not perfect, I still think of Shuffle! as a very solid harem show. Good animation, good direction and, actually, with a really big attention to small details which made me giggle, like the english notebook scene with the hidden messages from the animators. Stuff like this is more than I can say about the majority of shows in this genre, so, yeah.
