wow...
after putting this on hiatus after episode one and marathoning eps 2 to 7 i have to say, and i believe others have said this before, that this show is so bad its actually good... the reasons i'm gonna continue watching this is probably because:
1. it is good for laughs especially after rewatching stuff like iriya, kanon, air and the like
2. not only do i like their designs, i also like the characters as well (sheena is probably my favorite, followed by elwing)
3. what an all-star cast(guess we know where most of the budget went to) kiriya and souma arguing really reminds me of athrun and kira in the early episodes of gundam seed not just their seiyuu but also what they were arguing about...

i guess i'll be sticking to this series...

Okay...Episode 8 was kinda nice, in 2 ways.

First, it was the ultimate Hoshi Souchirou fangirl's dream come true.

2ndly, it had some nice revelations as to what happened with the Zero/Xion fiasco, and with Mao finally having screentime, looks like the Tears-side of the story is coming to a fruitation of an end.

wow, i was actually really impressed with episode 8... now i thought i got a raw, but aparently i got a chinese.
i think they did a good job with episode 08, i like the way they showed what happened to Xion, but it's abit funny since i got confused half the times of how Xion at different angles looks like his dark soul side from the game xD

I'm a little confused here. About the girl named Shiina...is that her first name? Or is Kanon her first name? Or rather...are all the characters' names messed up? I mean they're referring to them as Kiriya, Shiina and Kureha. Are those their last names? Gah! I'm getting confused!

The Show could be better (especially if it wouln´t be so rushed here and there), but crappy is a bit harsh.^^

And about the Pics, i´ve got quite a lot so there will be a big post later (got not much time now). Till then, enjoy these two.

I think we're getting our priorities wrong here...It's great because it is crappy.

Okay, in all honesty, the plot itself isn't that bad...from a script. Though it's obvious as hell they're purposely not making an effort for it to be good. Be it the extremely corny dialogues to the uninspiring direction, it's just QUALITY.

I mean, just listen at the music that was playing during the Souma x Zero scene! Look at how "misleading" the storyboarding were! Cleaning up the wounds my foot! They were so obviously pandering to the Hoshi fangirls.

Did I mention that Trihart's episode preview was ridiculously cheesy beyond words? I loled at that.

And Tony Taka's art are often vibrant. Sad that they rarely translate to animation very well, aside from the guys.

Kiriya will almost definitely draw Xecty's soulblade. That's a given seeing how much flags they've accumulated, along with the OP.

Trihart...well, I think it'll be "good" Hilda's. Since the chain-sword's one belongs to the "evil" soul, the good one will probably look different.

Souma... looks like a toss-up between Kureha, Mao and Zero at this point. The latest episode won a lot of points seeing that it's Souma's return to non-ring soulblade drawing, but sadly, it felt more transitional than anything, despite the romantic vibes. Kureha...she's in the OP prominently, and I don't think Souma's really gotten over her yet, and Zero...well, he's Hoshi Mk. II and there'd bound to be something up with it.

So, unless Zero's a soulblader too, I don't think we'll ever see Souma's blade.

That aside, I liked episode 10. Cheesy it was, no doubt, but I liked the Mao x Souma moments. Why is this 13 episodes? I need moar Souma-flagging. Kiriya's was nice, but it felt...I dunno, too short? I guess I need to play the game to see the full interaction. Damn marketing techniques. And damn it, Xion.

I'm not exactly watching this anime for the action; even they know they kinda blew on those first scenes from the first few episodes... That's why in the past episode, ((Watching Raw 10)), they did some of the attacks in still frame.

However, the characters are really well done, 'nd once Souma got over the first hump, he became an alright main character.

Plus, <3 Mao. =O

'swhy I've already watched episode 10, over and over... I'd marry her, if she was real. >_>

Somehow I keep denying it, but as every episode comes, it's just something even below mediocre, and I can't believe it slipped my notice that I was watching the show more for knowing what's going to happen and character appearances than watching it as an anime on the whole.

For one thing, I never really read the spoilers, but I do find the issue of whose soulblade being drawn mildly interesting besides Xecty, Kiriya, Souma and Elwyn.

True. Episode 12 was total cheezany, be it the Ultimate Soul Blades or the dialogues.

Kiriya wasn't surprising, considering it was the game-canon, but the "Aquarion-AHHHH~!" from Ishida was totally unneccesary lol.
