I recently listened to them and liked very much... It's very good!!

Some of the latest album-singles from Sound Horizon:

Shounen wa Tsurugi wo - http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E5%B0%91%E5...700299-1837965

Seisen no Iberia - http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E8%81%96%E6...pf_rd_i=562060

But, I cannot find its lyrics, does anyone have any idea where I can find..?

Do you know their Japanese names?
I can only find some Japanese lyrics, but I don't know the song's names' pronunciation so I don't know which you want .And it's too difficult for me to translate them. If you like I can give you all of the lyrics I find but I don't think it's useful

Oh, thank you very much for the lyrics, clynia
Especially for Black Chronicle... But, where did you find it, could you tell me?

And, I think their names are:

「少年は剣を…」
1. 終端の王と異世界の騎士 ~The Endia & The Knights~
Moulin Rouge~
Belle Isle~

I found the names from jap wiki: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Horizon
Thanks again...

After reading this thread, I decided to take a look at these guys... And, after listening to most of their stuff, my verdict is: they're fucking awesome! Quite original, too...

my first thread here.. XD

SH is now gaining great popularity among the J-POP fans in China. if you search "幻想乐团" in www.baidu.com(the biggest search engine of China), you'll get thousands of related links containing original lyrics and Chinese translations..pity there's no English translations I reckon....maybe 'cos the lyrics are too poetic >_<

Shounen wa Tsurugi wo and Seisen no Iberia are the lattest albums....I personally recommend some older but marvellous ones, such as Elysion and LOST.

I listened to a few songs on youtube and find them not to be quite as forgettable as your average j-pop. But then, they're not very special either...I might actually like them (or not) if I gave them a chance and bought an album but I probably won't. One of their live performances on youtube was really funny though. ^^

I wouldn't call them J-Pop. They're more like a mixture of (light) power metal and some branches of pop. They cover a really diverse variety of styles.

Isn't all Japanese music being called J-something outside of Japan...? Well, whatever, I'm not that good when it comes to labelling genres anyway.

Do you have links to any Japanese lyrics? I can, more or less, read it, but I lack enough experience browsing in Japanese so I've been having trouble finding them. My last resort will be transcribing the lyrics myself, but that would suck awfully... (though it could be used as an assignment for my Japanese class ).

I like sound horizon, especially Chronicle 2nd. You can't call them pop music really, I think it's more along the lines of music drama, or opera.

I will try to translate one of them (it's not lyrics by the way, it's just a story). I know it will probably suck horribly since I learned my japanese from playing erogames, but I will try my best.

The second track in CD: Chronicle 2nd

This music tells a story of -------------

The Tragedy of Ballad the Poet

Black Chronicle, Volume seven, Page 168

========The last poem========

It was really wonderful

The soldiers in the town taught this poem to their lovers

So the poem was passed from one to another

Nobody knew who wrote this poem
Nobody knew the name of this poem
But it spread across the whole continent

When the queen was beautiful and held strong power

Before such great power, everyone kneeled

Then came the birthday of the queen

"Write a poem to praise the beauty of the queen"
One poet was given such an order

The queen asked:

"Who is the most beautiful woman in this world?"

However, the poet did not give in:

「私の世界では、陛下は二番目にお美しい…」
"In my world, you are the second most beautiful, your majesty."

"The died flowers are beautiful."

"It is an illusion called memory"

"A never fading, forever blooming garden"

"Even it's the noble and beautiful rose"

"As long as it's still lively, it will never reach the beauty of a died flower."

The poem made the queen angry:

「そなた、余に枯れてしまえと申すのか!?」
"Are you saying that you wished me to die?!"

Upon the signal of the Minister, the soldier threw the poet into prison.

The genius poet, his name was Ballad

In the corner of the cold underground prison, he was making his very last poem.

The execution was near. Holding the rose emblem on the chest,

soldiers of the prison listened, to the last poem he made.

The sound of the last bell ended

The execution was carried out without mercy

At the very last moment

He remembered…

The sky of the hometown

The brezze of the wind

The girl who had passed away

And the days they once lived together…

The cold autumn wind brought the start of winter

A girl embarked on a harsh journey to find her loved one

A somewhat nostalgic poem, is what she singed

Sound Horizon lyric translation is evil. Pure evil. The fact that every single song is a story of their own and when in the same album/single, they're all somehow related. (I mean, Revo managed to link Hoshikuzu no Harnais from Roman with Rein no Sekai. OTL )

I even sorta kinda give up doing transliteration for their songs because Revo loves to use different languages from Europe. = =

Yeah, but that's what makes Revo brilliant. I mean many artists use various languages in their material, but Revo does it in such a flawless way.

^ Also give translators headaches if they don't know what language was used or don't understand that language. >_> (Two thumbs up to the Japanese that actually went throught the whole soramimi-ness to figure out the lyrics, especially the talking parts.)

Anything from English (Chronicle / Elysion / etc.) to French (Roman) to German (KiriMukou single).

There may be more though... (Since I can't recall what was the language used in Iberia.)
