Magical Canan has same character designer as Komugi-chan/Popotan (Akio Watanabe)? I hope Komugi-chan/Mii seiyuu will be there too (Haruko Momoi).

Hmm... the official site of Sky of Iriya, Summer of UFO looks really interesting, guess one more new title to watch out for. Thanks for the great work

I've seen the ...ummm... "Hentai" OVA version of this anime...
a check on the site revealed that the "magic girl" is still a "girl" (not a young teenager)

So I guess this is "G" rated anime for kids?

Hmm... which anime you mean? Sky of Iriya, Summer of UFO? That site surely doesn't look like for kids IMO

Oh and Gallery Fake's official website just looks really interesting and COOL!!!

Have to say the coming season looks quite nice, aside from those well-known, highly anticipated ones like Samurai Champloo, Mahou Sensei Nagima, AIR, etc. etc, it also has a fair share of other interesting titles to look out for

Would someone care to explain what Sanada 10 is about? I've always been interested...

And I dunno much about Iriya no Sora UFO no Natsu, except that it was based on a Sci-Fi story that was nominated for a (I think) pretty good award... I like the colours. But I think I can forsee moe and fanservice. (I'd love it if it wasn't like that.)

I'm looking forward to Gallery Fake, I want to see what that's about simply because the rest sound really uninteresting! (except Samurai Champloo) And Mahoraba I hear is just another harem anime (whyyy does it sound so close to Maburaho? X_x; ) It's odd, an anime literally about an art gallery from what I gather...

UG Ultimate Girls is coming from m.o.e. I think you know what to expect.

Sukisho (Suki na mono wa suki dakara shouganai!!) is based off a BL game, iirc. More big-name seiyuu in it.

the character designs are from the same character designer for Record of Lodoss Wars. Female character designer but yet it doesn't seem like it. Cool! I like how the site flash is - it "draws" him out like an oekaki animation, quite fitting

Director, Akira Nishimori. Story organization (i.e. I think he works out the story and characters and when what happens and so on), Seishi Togawa who did the same for Tokyo Mew Mew and Gantz... There are 2 art directors (heh), the original manga is by Fujihiko Hosono whose previous works include Biohunter, Crusher Joe, Dokkiri Doctor, Gu Gu Ganmo, Judge and Sasuga no Sarutobi. Character designer for Dirty Pair, apparently.

Appears to be about a cool single dude called Reiji Fujita (VA: Toshiyuki Morikawa), the owner of Gallery Fake, who used to be a curator for New York's Metropolitan art museum. He can speak many languages and knows a lot about the workings of the art scene...
I believe this show will be set in NEw York. Two other major characters are Sara Halifa (Ayako Kawasumi), the daughter of a somethingsomething, who takes advantage of a particular happening to become Fujita's assistant. She is quite an amateur. She has an interest in Fujita but he treats her completely like a child.
And Sayoko Mitamura (Satsuki Yukino) (looks a bit like a cross of Myung from Macross Plus and Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop...) seems to nag Fujita about his shady business dealings... She seems to be more of a pro at this. Airs on TV Tokyo 8th January.

The OP is called Ragtime (hmm, must tell my brother) performed by a group called Katteni shiyagare (LOL

). Pretty cool, they seem to do non-pop, snazzy kinda things. Their site canbe found at http://www.katteni-shiyagare.com. They got drums, vocals, trumpet, tenor sax, baritone sax, trombone, double bass, piano. Okay, I gotta check this out! Single is slated for release March 2005.

The ED is called Omoisugoshi no Kounou (the benefit of taking things too seriously?

) by Santara. I wonder what kind of songs they do. Pop? They're a duo (Kyouko Tamura and Kazutoshi Sunada).

The official website even has a page where fans can submit their own fan sites to be linked by the official page.

I wonder how many eps this will be.

There are 31 tankoubon of the manga! It has been serialised for... 14 years?!?!??! A special 264 B6-size book was released on the 30th Sep 2004 to commemorate that and ten million copies of the tankoubon being sold. The first tankoubon was released 29th Aug 1992 and the latest tankoubon was released on the 30th of Sep 2004. Wow! But it's airing late at night.

Winter and Summer season starts have always been leaner than the spring/fall seasons because anything that started in september/april that's over 13 episodes runs through the next anime season.

I'me looking forward to the Digimon X-Evolution TV special. It's likely going to be the last digimon TV release unless it garners huge viewership and it's going to be nice to see a show for a change that has no humans in it. Supposedly it's "for the fans" and it's only that one episode.

Nothing else really caught my attention, but I haven't really done much looking around at what many of the other animes look like yet.

Ah My Goddess TV series might be good too. ^_^ Otogi-jushi Akazukin looks like it has the potential to be either really cool or really dorky (depends on what kind of story/atmosphere it gets...)
