Though I think Gentarou can prove himself on the battlefield quite well. Other than capacity in battle... she'd treat him as she would Ichika or any of her other students.

Though I was thinking of this one scene. It's so stupid that it borders on harem bashing.

Not that hard. Firs things first: Meet her outside of school a lot. It helps when you spend time with her where she's not legally bound to not touch you anywhere not required.

The scene is too long to write... it'd probably take up a chapter in itself.

Basically, Chifuyu goes on a drinking binge when the girls take Ichika for a night out. They say its a friendly gathering, but Chifuyu knows better. Eventually, the bartender decides she's had enough and has to go home. Chifuyu grumbles that no one would be home. But the bartender gives the Orimura house a ring anyway. The one who picks up is Gentarou, someone the bartender isn't all that familiar with. Gentarou gets the message and tries to pass it on to Ichika who knows where the bar is.

Unfortunately, things were a bit hectic with the girls and Ichika's phone went ignored. Gentarou wonders what's wrong as he hangs up and the phone suddenly rings. It's the bartender and he tells Gentarou that Chifuyu suddenly disappeared when the older man checked the backroom stock. Money was on the bar so he assumed Chifuyu had left. He told Gentarou that in Chifuyu's current state, even as the world's strongest woman, it would be dangerous for her at that time of night, or even for others.

Gentarou quickly gets the address of the bar and rushes over to look for Chifuyu.

Chifuyu finds herself not making sense of the world and wondering where she was. She's still bitter at how Ichika's relationship with the girls was progressing so well. Just as she reached her train station, she noticed it was closed and fell into a heap on the door steps. Grumbling on why she even had to walk so far. Arms grabbed her and she found herself hoisted onto her feet. She didn't recognize the people but they were saying things like taking her home and the like... so she acquiesced without a fight.

Two young men thought they'd scored when they found Chifuyu drunker than any middle aged man they'd seen. She was a beaut and when they asked her if they could take her home, she just nodded with a mindless smile.

Gentarou was running with the trains out. But as he ran, he looked back to a couple of boys passing by with a woman supported between. It was Chifuyu and he quickly rushed into them for some answers and to take her back. It quickly started into a brawl... and ended just as fast.

When Chifuyu came to, she found herself slightly more coherent and on the back of a slightly bruised Gentarou. His pompadour was a messy ahoge blowing with the wind. She questions him on what happened. Gentarou explains and even brags that she should have seen how he beat those guys. He asks her how she was so careless as to drink to the point of letting guys like them take her. She reminds him of how she likes Ichika and of where he was tonight. Gentarou remains silent and reminds her that he already said that he'd support her. But now he promises that it won't relate only to things about Ichika. He'd support with whatever matters in her life.

How is that Harem bashing again? Though for some reason, I felt odd with that portrayal of Chifuyu (not one to talk here but...)

I always though Chifuyu as alcohol-resistant, so it could be a personal bias.

Well in a detailed version... the harem see the phone and notice it's gentarou's number. They figured that he's probably calling for some crazy reason which doesn't really make sense. And they recall a number of times it already happened. So they make sure that Ichika doesn't get the call. It's kind of like Ichika left his phone in his jacket and one of the girls saw it ringing.

.... that's so stupid I don't know where to begin.

Just proceed with everyone trying to get his attention normally, like in V4 for example. And Ichika is so occupied he don't heard the phone ringing.

Also, the actual conversation would state that Chifuyu drank twice she normally did at least. And that normally people who drunk that much should be in the ER getting their stomach pumped

Forced to go to ISA > No available IS core > Need to wait for one year > plan to study for a year > Scholarship cancelled> still have porn> Porn stash threw away by mistake > have video game > Video game threw away with Porn stash > sudden have extra IS core > forced back to ISA.

Should I make it worse?

Don't worry, I have my share of bashing: case in point 1. Ling's defeat by Yui, and 2. Anything related to Tatenashi. There's others but those two case really stand out. I'm not going to change my mind of this even if the fans is pointing their pitchfork; it's important for the plot and character development (I think).

Hard to do, but if you somehow manage to bypass the protective barrier, you can just stuff anything to the intake and BOOM
