The Devil Gundam
I've been researching all I can into it after watching all of G Gundam so that I can get all the facts straight and my belief is that no Gundam truly could destroy it. Now, take into factor I said none could destroy it. I didn't sa it could wipe out any Gundam that came near it. The Gundams people I've talked to who say could pose a huge problem for it are mainly the Turn A Gundam, the Nu Gundam and the Victory 2 Gundam. The last one seems to have an insane amount of firepower and resources, but I still fail to see how any of the Gundams would manage to attack, reduce all of the Devil Gundam to non-existence (the Devil Gundam's mass is always changing, but it has so many extensions of its body hidden underground at most points) while it not only Self-Evolved to cover vulnerability to the attack but also Self-Recovered and finally Self-Multiplied by infecting the opposing Gundam and its pilot. One guy said that DG cells would be useless against Nu Gundam because it operates on some system I can't spell (Psycommu, I think) and I don't realy know about that but it doesn't seem to make sense. If DG cells can infect every piece of technology and organism existing, don't see why that system would make it immune.
The Devil Gundam's main adversary is the Turn A and its MB attack. I was wondering on how a release of nanomachines would go if DG cells and the nanomachines that reduce all technology to sand are intermingled. Perhaps the DG cells could infect the other nanomachines themselves somehow and form a hybrid. It's all a bit weird. One thing I truly find most impressive and benneficial to the Devil Gundam is that it doesn't need any sort of pilot. It runs itself and its own program while using a human body to power it. That really means that targetting the head or where the body is stored is almost futile because it not only receives extreme amount of protection from every resource the DG has, but it can be firmly sucked away and hidden in its bulk. The fact that this Gundam is its own master always radiated cool to me. That's my piece but I'm just curious on what Gundams would pose a threat most to it. The ones I listed or ones I don't know of or what. i'm no expert on the series and looking for some info. Thanks, guys. =) |

DG cells run on the idea of self preservation, and evolution, Moonlight Butterfly nanonmachines are pure unadulterated destruction. They dismantle everything in sight from the atom upwards. My guess what would happen if MB was used vs Devil Gundam, they'd end up cancelling each other out like the final fight between Turn X vs Turn A. The Moonlight Butterfly at full output on both machines ended up cancelling each other out and created a cocoon of nanomachines fusing the two together. |

A bit-team of Mobile Suits with DOUBLE X at full power could probably destroy the radius of Devil Gundam...360 degree microwave charged blasts on D Gundam's concentrated point (centralized point) could do the trick I think...X and DOUBLE X are capable of vaporizing entire areas of mass quite easily...But they would have to attack it from a distance and with a suprise effect because as you've noted DG is impressive in defending itself head on...I have to believe full throttle'd microwave charged energy (like a Cyclops) concentrated on DG's radius would be enuff to vaporize it's regenerative properties...Given what's seen in Gundam X (In terms of X and DOUBLE X's power) it can easily reach underground with more than sufficient power for overall destruction...
I mean DG's cells can only take so much brute concentrated energy inwhich X certainley supplies...I can't remember at the moment, but it was destroyed right? By Domon and Rain's combine strength if memory serves me...

Ah right I forgot about about DX and the G-Bits.....
If somehow DX and the G-Bits could get a full charge then they'd be easily able to wipe out even Colony Devil Gundam since their entire purpose is colony destroying or wiping out large areas in one attack. Its also been proved the Satellite Cannon can be fired repeatedly as when they were dared to fire it again it followed very shortly. Of course they're sitting ducks while they do this mind you. |

Devil gundam is what, 70 m tall? The size of a destroy gundam, if that? Or are you talking about devil gundam colony mode? Cuz the way you take that down is kill the central core.
Then again, all it takes to stop devil gundam is to whack its pilot or otherwise relieve it of its central life system ala Domon with Rayne.

Well, as I said, that is rather difficult nye impossible. "Easier said than done" suits it more than perfectly. It's core and its core life unit is protected under the most powerful of powerful. The Devil Gundam spawned something like the Grand Master Gundam and it wasn't even its core life unit. It's most evolved creation protected its core unit and even than that was Rain. Rain came out. Until then she was hidden and concealed in a dense layer of the DG's body. To penetrate all its outward defenses, break through its outer layer and actually find the core life unit would take an immense amount of endurance and unmatched durability and speed to either sustain or dodge endless streams of attacks coming at every inch you progress forward.

You should've seen Domon slashed that core Devil Gundam with his two beam sabers, Rain screamed in pain because she is the life core of the Devil Gundam. Makes me wonder if the Devil Gundam is an organic creature, inorganic creature, or a combination of both? It's interesting that Domon has to confess his love and tell the truth to open the Devil Gundam's life core since Rain is the one controlling it.

The Devil Gundam needed a pilot.
After Kyoji was defeated, the DG cells went low key. If I remember correctly it was said that a female pilot would make Devil Gundam even stronger or something, Rain caused Devil Gundam to become the colony form. Its either the cells needed a pilot to start or needed a pilot to stay strong. Because the colony form is so strong, removal of Rain didn't seem to affect its power much. Or maybe we only saw it active for a short while after Rain was rescued, who knows, maybe it will 'wither' over the next few days even if no one tried to fight it.

Well, it does need a pilot but calling them a pilot is rather unfitting. They are a power source to the DeviL Gundam. They really don't pilot it but serve to give it the power it needs. As for it still moving after Rain was removed, that's simple. Her removal effected the Devil Gundam itself but the Colony Devil Gundam was powered by the colony's own generator. It thus could keep fighting for probably a good bit longer bit with no unending power coming forth from the Devil Gundam at its core. That makes sense to me.

I think Amuro could beat it with Nu Gundam, or heck, maybe even the Gundam, provided it was in space since the Gundam, and I assume the Nu Gundam as well, can't fly in an atmosphere.
Amuro is a specialist in dodging, a pro at it. Those battles against funnels, bits, and most of the time superior enemy numbers weren't for nothing. Put him in a mobile suit that can move fast, and he could get in there and blast the core/(try to) save the person who is the core.
