Actually, that's a good question. What do they need to switch bodies? They were afraid that the total annihilation in the absorption chamber was going to be permanent... That means it could have been the end of them, hadn't Lumiere's power been "Particle".

*Dextro tries to revive this old thread*
Seeing as how we are now getting a sequel of sorts I decided to go and re-watch this show for the 3rd time to freshen up on my memories and I've got to say: the first 8 or so episodes aren't has bad as I remembered them. It's rather simple to see the purpose of almost every one of the episodes: they introduce a different ES Team in each one of them. Re-watching this made me remember what got me into anime in the first place. The world and story is very interesting and the characters are as well. We have some nice plot twists and the soundtrack is amazing. And let us no forget that GONZO had some kick ass animation at the time that still holds up its own to even some shows airing today. The only minor complain I still have about this shows is the over-use of panty shots from time to time but compared to what we're getting in Kiddy Girl-and (especially episode 6) I'm starting to reconsider if it's even relevant anymore. Oh well, overall this show is still one of my favorites of all times (being part of the 5 or so shows that got me into anime for real might also have something to do with it).

Hello there. I can say it proudly. This was my pioneer anime in 2004. I saw accidentally episode 14 (steel/Heart), instantly I was hooked. I watched the whole season several times during that year. That is when my otaku self was born.
This week-end, Watched it again the whole 24 episodes without interruption... even if it was the xx'th time, I loved it. It made me remember my childhood and my dreams. Never again I had the same feeling towards another anime like this one. It was a masterpiece, I'll cherish its memory. Maybe a few years later I'll watch it again to remember myself of who am I, and where did I start from.
