Shoji Kawamori as producer, and all Gundams will be transformable!
Or even better, Shoji Kawamori in his over-potted, crack state. Featuring Gundams with happy-faces and a guy chasing after space penguins endlessly... Oh, and lots of neon lights! *slowly walks away* - Tak

Its not too far fetched considering Watanabe involved in Stardust Memory before.

I hope this new series is not another homo shows and fancy shinny Gundam with a unimportant battles, its been 20 years they should have stopped making pretty boy face and the female characters should have strong development roles with a proper stories.

But still, he'd be a good choice if Sunrise were targeting the overseas audience so there's nothing stopping them from bringing him back as a freelancer... Not sure if Bandai feels the same though.

Aaaaah, an excuse for me to take over this forum again ^^...
I've been wanting Shinichiro Watanabe to be chosen as a Gundam Director for 10 years...It would be a dream to have a Gundam show thru his eyes, thru his musical choices, thru his unchallenged genre-bending techniques... The fact that he's actually rumored to be the director will make the eventual butthurt worse T_T... Stylistic Gundam show done to rhythmic Jazz is a damn lottery ticket...I'll hang it on a refrigerator magnet, for alltime...

While Mushizima brought Gundam to a new place theoretically, Watanabe would skyscape Gundam into a new realm stylistically and thematically...Nothing would get me more excited, but life ain't fair...

Hmmm. Interesting. It looks like there it's aimed at younger audiences.
And it looks like it's within super robot territory. I guess this will shut the "realists" up. Try telling that to Imagawa

I would have been fine with the concept itself as a short OVA, much like Gunpla Builders. As a full length TV anime though... I'm not sure how I feel about this
