Puella Magi /a/nonymous Magica (Magia Series) by /a/nonymous magica

Set during the main timeline of the anime, what would happen if you were to one day wake up as Madoka Kaname, with knowledge of the events of the anime?

What would happen when you let the anonymous folks at /a/ of 4chan take control over Madoka's body?

That is the premise of this series of Choose Your Own Adventure threads from /a/. This is the story of the collective conscious of /a/ in Madoka's body, and their fate.

As one of the people who has participated in these threads since the beginning, and now that the first season is complete, I recommend giving this fanfic a try.

The best part about this fanfic is seeing the different choices /a/ could make to forward the story, and their reactions from the consequences of their actions. The writing is pretty decent imo and gets better over time.

Just announcing that Magia Sketch (Season 2) of Puella Magi /a/nonymous Magica is completed. A remake of Season 2 is actually being planned by the author and will feature different plot developments.

I found possibly the best/worst fanfiction that I need to share, uploaded by a 13-year-old with terrible typing skills.. it's absolutely hilarious. It's basically his typo-ridden take on the anime, filled with OOCness.

I make a habit of not being too negative in reviewing stories just because, as a writer myself, I remember the days when I was undoubtedly just as bad as some of the things I've found. If a story is particularly bad I just leave it alone; feels to me the safe way to go about it, honestly.

All that said, yeah, that's pretty bad.

I found what's probably the best Madoka crossover I've ever read. A_Hero. Other then a few things that diverge from canon there aren't many problems with it.

The fic is a crossover with Doctor Who. In it Homura gets help from Dalek Sec, who ended up being brought back to life and dumped into the Madokaverse, his micro-harmonic drive (time machine) synchronizes with Homura's shield, leaving him no choice but to help her save Madoka. Unfortunately, the Incubators also have some help from the Whoniverse...

Still, it caught them all. “Is something the matter Kyoko?” “This is a bad territory.” She spat. “I was under the impression that it had potential just a week ago.” The alien looked confused, but it might have been her imagination. “Sure, this area had a nice number of demons and the food is nice around here…” She paused, frowning. “But I wiped the demon lair four days ago and it hasn’t appeared again! Four days! The demons don’t form fast enough!” She threw her arms up in exasperation then let them fall, defeated. Her transformation faded away, leaving normal street clothes in its place. “Damn.” With a sigh, she sat on the border of the roof. A modest city spread out under her, yellowish lights illuminating the large, clean streets. In the night, it looked almost golden. “I’m not even asking for a challenge here like Mitakihara or anything…” She pulled a box of pocky from one of her hoodie’s pockets, eyes focusing on the distant horizon. “Speaking of Mitakihara… How is Mami doing? Did she manage to hold on to that nice territory or has the Law of Wheels taken her already?” “Mami still retains Mitakihara as her territory. Mitakihara was a difficult territory, even if it gave good rewards. The demons formed lairs almost frighteningly easy and they were always strong. That Mami had managed to survive in and hold on to Mitakihara spoke volumes of her prowess as a magical girl. “She has, however, taken in a new Puella Magi as her protégée.” Kyoko choked. She hit her chest a few times, coughing. “No way… Who?” “Miki Sayaka. She contracted with me a few days after Mami saved her from Demons.” The girl was quiet for moments, then a wide smile drew itself on her lips until it was a full-blown wild grin. “I haven’t seen Mami in a long time. Mitakihara is a good territory too. Maybe I’ll crash at her place for a while.” Kyubey tilted its head. “I wanna see what this rookie is capable of. Show her the real ropes, how this world really works. It’ll be fun.” “It would be best to be cautious. Mitakihara is also where the Irregular is.” The furry creature advised. “Hum? You mean that thing you talked about a while ago?” She asked, serious again. “Yes.” The smile returned to Kyoko’s lips. “You said the girl was strong right?” The incubator nodded. “I’ll be the judge of that. It would be nice if I got a real challenge anyway.” Spoiler for Author's Notes: - First of all, this was a titleless piece so I really couldn't find a better title. - In the new world, why was Kyoko in Mitakihara when Sayaka died? This is the theme of the snippet. Why should she be there? Kyubey didn't call her to fight an ubber-witch (there are no Witches) and Mami was still alive (and kicking), her territory uncontested. In this version, it's a mix betwwen hard-life and curiosity. Kyoko was Mami's protégée before, but she was desillusioned anout the life of a Puella Magi and had a huge fight with Mami. Now she fells like giving a lesson about real life to the rookie. - Demons (or Magical Beasts) form Lairs. They give Grief Cubes. - QB says Puella Magi and magical girls. Kyoko just goes with magical girls. __________________
