If someone only sees a dubbed and censored version of an anime (like Dragonball or Rurouni Kenshin) on TV they'll have a much lower opinion of the show than it deserves. Most anime shown on TV are only pale shadows of their originals.

yes, sometimes the voices of the characters give a great impression about the personality of the character.
if it were to be dubbed, they'd just find some stupid 10 year old and give it a shitty dub. like how all the other dubbed shows are like.

Well, this anime stars kids and usually animes that star kids are aimed at kids but at this point, the anime is prolly to violent to show for kids and adults who watch anime might not buy into the kids thing. For one thing, very rarely do dubbing studios use young people to play young characters. It's practically unheard of.

Some dubs are terrible, and some are amazing. If you're determined to hate one, you probably will. Because HxH's Japanese voice acting is so incredible--much better than the norm, I'd say--I don't think an English dub could hope to match that level of quality. If you totally deny the possibility, however, you may end up missing out.

i dont know...... i got into anime becouse of cowboy bebop the dubbed version on adult swim, so it's not all bad.

A little help please.....

I'm sure many of you guys have d/led A-Faiths ova 12. Do you need a special codec for this ep? Because when i play mine i get a one long green strip in the middle of the screen and its only 50+ sec. Its the first time i've encountered something like this, usually if it doesn't work it only has sound or only video. Ova 11 played fine btw.

Yeah, I don't see how they can animate her like how she was portrayed in the manga.

A spoiler I saw on an anime-blog site said episode 14 ended at the point where they think they're found Gin, but then during the credit sequence you see him turn around and it's really Kaito. So nothing about the ant arc yet.

I wonder how long it's going to take for eps 13 and 14 to come out. I can't wait. I haven't read the manga yet so....WAAAAH! Are there much difference between the manga and the ova + series???

They're pretty similar, the gore has been toned down a little in the anime, and the anime has some filler. (but not much)

Have 13+14 been released on schedule, earlier this month? I have no idea how long it takes to get from vhs/dvd release to sub though...
