[Manga] Naruto Chapter 564 Discussion

Welcome to the weekly manga chapter discussion thread. This thread is created early to discuss spoilers and speculation about the upcoming chapter as well as discussion of said chapter once it has been released.

As per the forums rules, please don't ask for or mention about where to download the (licensed) manga. Also remember not to post or link to any translations of the manga, since this is illegal as well. Posting a synopses or summary is fine (and welcome) but please do not discuss scans, raws, translation groups, etc. Additionally, if you are posting someone else's synopsis (or their translation of a synopsis), then please provide credit were credit is due.

Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant parts of the chapter. This stands for pictures and direct translations. Summaries are ok, crops of pictures are ok as well if you want to illustrate your point but this is it.

It's a new week, so that means new Naruto spoilers...which are now released....

-Naruto wasn’t able to break the mask.

-The Jinchuuriki attack Bee and Naruto. Roshi uses Lava and Utakata uses Bubbles and Yagura uses a strange reflection technique (that creates copies of Naruto and Bee). Bee has to save Naruto from the exploding bubbles.

-Tobi explains that he is nobody and he does not wish to be anybody. All he desires is the completion of the Moon's Eye Plan.

-Chapter ends with Naruto and Bee vs. Edo Jinchuuriki; all have started to unleash the powers of their Bijuu.

Epic battle coming up! I wonder if anime filler Utakata would be able to recognize Naruto, though I'm leaning on NOT!

I knew his mask wouldn't break, it wasn't a just a head-but on Naruto's side, but also a big "COME AT ME BRO!!" move by Tobi.

Well, we did get it a day earlier than usual, and the longer spoiler is currently un-translated...

That being said, what did you expect? Tobi to reveal all his plans simply because he received a head-butt? No, this chapter was always going to feature talking heads and only the basic start of a fight.

Heheh it would've been soooo nice if that stupid mask had broke. Just what the heck is that mask made of to survive a headbutt from Naruto. Between Son Goku and Naruto, idk who has the hardest head?

As much as Naruto and Bee (Especially Bee) are awesome, there's absolutely no way they can hold their own against this team of Edo Tensei zombies with infinite chakra, enhanced with Rinnegan/Sharingan, flanked by BizarroMadara. The Kages, I expect, will have their hands full with just Muu & Edo Madara.

Who's left to come to the rescue? Please, please, please Konoha rookies...

I understand that this 2nd instalment has placed a heavy emphasis into fleshing out the rest of the Naruto world. It's pretty obvious Kishi wanted to give more clout to the other nations and some background. And I definitely thank him for that.

But now I think the time is ripe to return to the rookies, even if it means overshadowing those new characters from other nations.

^Simple. Kirabi gets the Edo-Jinchuuriki and Naruto gets Tobi. Done and done.

What could the Konoha rookies do against Madara or jinchuuriki?

More likely, Itachi will end the Edo Tensei and Edo Madara and the jinchuuriki will go away. Although since the story does have to get to the Darkest Hour first, Madara will end up getting the demons somehow.

Why are you so sure it's edo tensei? Even if it is, it's Madara's edo tensei and not Kabuto's, so they won't go away. But it could also be that the bodies are just like pain bodies, not zombies. Although in this chapter they seem to be using their special powers, which indicates they are edo tensei and not just prepared puppets.

With those guys it's really tough to tell, I think. On the one hand they have the cracked skin of Edo Tensei bodies and they have their own skills, but they also have the Rinnegan and Sharingan like Nagato's Six Paths of Pain did. But then, Nagato's Six Paths showed no signs of having any skills that weren't his by proxy, either.

...Because we were already shown where Kabuto resurrected the jinchuuriki using Edo Tensei right at the beginning of the war? Tobi/Madara just took control of them using the power of the Six Paths. But if the Edo Tensei is cancelled, then their bodies should turn to ash and only the nameless sacrifices will remain, canceling the Six Paths jutsu. It would be absurd if Kabuto had cancelled the jutsu, Tobi/Madara was suddenly capable of using Edo Tensei (knowing how it works is different from being able to use it, even with Sharingan), and he found another six sacrifices to use the Edo Tensei, then used the Six Paths power.

Interesting. The translation seems to imply that Tobi meant to phase through Naruto but was unable...

I'd like to know how Kishi pulled off making Tobi look so utterly insane without even showing his face. That eerie little head tilt...

That aside, all around a decent chapter. It looks like this chapter is taking preliminary steps toward Naruto having a more cooperative Kyuubi, and so long as it doesn't go the fanon route of them being best buds that wouldn't be unwelcome. Honestly though, I'm looking forward to this fight more than I am the Kage one.

Considering goku isn't a whiny little baby that chases after males and he can blow up planets with easy I would have to go with him

This chapter was awesome! Only thing I can think to say that's not completely positive is that I hope more people join Bee and Naruto because I want each of the Jins to shine (especially Yagura and Yugito).

I remember that bubble blowing Jinchuuriki from the 'canon filler' arc. He was cool.
