Well, Yuuki took 50k from her opponents and she basically stopped getting points after the east round. So maybe we can consider the Ryuumonbochi vanguard Yuuki x 2?

Total 50k points from three opponents are very different from blowing away 100,000 points out of one opponent.

It's more than Yuuki x 2.

Haven't you watched any shounen anime? The useless childhood friend always has only one single purpose:

To be killed off by the final boss right before the end, and trigger the final super awesome power of the main character, which they then use to defeat the boss.

So Kyou's fate is to be exploded by Teru, I guess.

Nah, he's like Bulma in DB/DBZ. The token other gender character that brings objects that help the story along (hence the computer and snacks). Nothing bad happens but they get shoved off to the side later on.

Maybe years later, he marries one of the main characters and they have a child who inherits her mother's powers. And the daughter goes on to participate in her own tournament along with the offspring of some of the other main characters.

So probably Kyou + Taco, I guess.

Geez, today was for me the day of the teaser hands, but these two take the cake

This was easily worth a sanbaiman

Isshanten from suanko. It would have made one hell of a comeback

Judging from your description and the fact that there is some lingering enthusiasm when you read between the lines of your post, it'd appear that this is the best episode ever or something. I guess I'll have to wait and see it!

The "all seeing eye" I'm sure comes up soon enough. I find her keeping one eye closed kinda alluring

Back to ep 7 for a sec-- while Jun did manage to knock that one player down 100k points, it took until the south wind to do it.

Meanwhile, Saki knocked the Tofukuji player down from 46,800 down to 0 in the time it took for the Drama Queen to run back to the Ryoumonbuchi group and babble about Nodocchi. I really wanted to see *that*.

The few Yuri scenes were interesting, but I felt like I got cheated out of an episode and a weeks worth of waiting.... I hope to see some good matches soon! All this over the top super natural stuff correlating with Mah Jong is kind of funny or just absurd, not too sure. I WANT TO SEE THE GEASS IN ACTION!

Expected. You'd think how they can span a tournament over 18 episodes without some fillers here and there.

It's not Geass. There are a ton of other eye abilities in anime (so why do people keep picking the crappy Deus Ex Machina one). It looks much more like Mikuru beam than Geass.
