Series- Movies similar to Perfect Blue

Honestly I'm looking for something similar to Perfect Blue
I've seen alot of Satoshi Kon's other work-

-Millenium Actress
-Tokyo Godfathers-
Paprika
Paranoia Agent

Though Perfect Blue has always been what stuck with me the most, if anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it

-I really enjoyed the creepy feeling Perfect Blue had- That dark feeling, gritty and real
-The themes of insanity/ the psychological aspect to the movie

Anything by Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor 1, and Patlabor 2 especially) should be right up your alley. He's also wrote the wonderful Jin-Roh which I think you could love. You might also like the works of Kunihiko Ikuhara, specifically Utena and Mawaru Penguindrum.

^, plus:

By similarity to the MC [Perfect Blue] - Mouryou no Hako

Dealing with realities - Welcome to NHK, Mind Game (movie), Trapeze

Something happened/happens, people go crazy - Gantz, Higurashi no Koro ni, Jigoku Shoujo, Another, Mirrai Nikki

Psychopathic antagonists - Monster, Denpa Teki no Kanojo, Shion no Ou

Peeks into the Brains - Himitsu: The Revelation

A list of what you've seen would have been great (no point in recommending you shows you already know), but if you looking for something different or specific, or more, well, write back.

---

In spades of metaphores - Aoi Bungaku, Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales, Mononoke [aka Bakeneko] (TV series), Requiem for the Darkness, Kaiba, Kemonozume

I'm putting this section under line, because I find them psychological and gritty regardless.
