A choice between X-3 and XII HD? None of them. I still couldn't bring myself to finish X-2 and found 12 so unentertaining that I dropped and forgot about it at that point in game which was commonly accepted as "where it would start to become better."

The Cid battle, right? FF12 is the only FF game I purchased but not finished. After that, I just stopped purchasing FF games as I kept getting the same bad reviews that match what I don't want.

Funny enough I don't mind X-2, because I already like the characters. I just hope they don't burn down the X world just so we can have a third game.

Geez haven't they done enough damage to the Final Fantasy franchise with XIII and it's unnecessary sequels. I also do not believe that Final Fantasy XV (Versus XIII) will revitalize interest in the series; it like XII has been dragging its feet for almost a decade now (7 or 8 years roughly) with very little in the way of development or production updates and more of the same 'keep the customers guessing' and giggly coy-schoolgirl "hee hee don't give up on us!" replies. Honestly if SE wants the franchise back on top, make FF16 a medieval RPG ala Skyrim, Dragon Age, Dragon's Dogma, etc. that is unless it's already another MMORPG/Facebook App/Mobile social game

That wasn't their fault; the entire resource of the company was thrown at the reboot of XIV, so the work on the game essentially stopped until XIV was re-released. They told us that outright.

You know, old info told us that the original FFX was a much more ambitious game in scale and scope, but it all had to be reduced once they were told what the PS2 hardware can and cannot do. There is a slim hope that it might be what they plan now; to at least reuse some of the abandoned plans for FFX-3.

But of course I won't buy it without knowing how it ends. I can't trust SE right now.

Same here, my faith has died and if my assumption is correct, FF10 trilogy will soon become a hated sub-series in the FF universe due to the existence of FF10-3.

Maybe I should elaborate more on this. The novel is far more than bad writing. It doesn't feel like Final Fantasy at all but more like a Gen Urobuchi series. FF is aimed at a teenage demographic and the story decapitates a person with lots of details, features necrophilia, etc. Is this consistent with previous games? Not at all.

It's amazing this novel is real cos no professional writer should be this inconsistent. Is this really from the guy who wrote Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts 1? For a second it felt like a show somebody who hated the series made. Even if it is real, I wonder if SE would make it canon considering it's the worst thing ever. Now I get why Gamefaqs started favoriting Cory in the House for the DS

What is this guy's problem? Then he brings back Sin. You know you have problems with storytelling when you recycle the exact same villain and treat the main character as an object. Then another thing that has to be a joke. It's equivalent of Amuro carrying the pubic hair of a girl in the Gundam novels. Ready for it? Fayth are born thanks to necrophilia... Just why was that necessary Nojima? You know what does this mean? Braka and Jecht had snusnu action before dying. God, if Tidus and Yuna find out they are gonna kill themselves. Also, remember the Bahamut fayth? It was a teenage boy.... Was Nojima high or something? Now with the audio drama Yuna is turning into Lightning 2.
