He's played the role of a subtle villain up until now (although it seemed pretty obvious). So it can be easily deduced that he would be the type of villain that would go "Just as Planned."

Catching up has been fun. Thought the banter with Aoi and Kagami in 10 was pretty fun. At least offers some possibilities since obviously Ruri's getting together with Arma. Besides be kind of funny to have more banter between them. Nice to finally get to see that girl's personality since she's just been a silent crystal for so much of the series. Flashback really did help hammer home that Kenmi was responsible for everything. What a dark guy massacring so many people to eliminate those who didn't agree with his methods. Thus he could come offer help to Ruri and continue getting some funds.

Now we're getting serious. Kenmi kind of snapped. I mean sure this guy has been experimenting on children, but seems pretty crazy to just grab Ruri and start trying to cut her heart out. Interesting to see Ruri follow the same defensive skill as her sister. Of course her sister had no one to protect her or bring her out of that state.

Now the fighting gets going. Should be pretty wild with Kenmi in that state. Kagami has a tough opponent in that girl considering even Knight had issues with her.

Fei looks like she has snapped and when her eyes turned red, we can tell Kenmi is in for some beatdown

Sacred Seven Gets Night Edition Compilation in 2012

Oh great, another wait for next year. Same show but new scenes & dialogue.

My choice for picking up this show proved exceptionally correct.

What I loved most about Sacred Seven is that the writers and producers keep the plot average and simple without no need to rush or drag the pacing, and moving on the story into multiple arcs.

No, sir! This show does well with a reduced cast and average plot.

Episode tenth proved exceptionally beautiful with the drama and character insight delivered. The Aiba twins are adorable with Ruri being the reserved and shy twin what makes her all moe and cute, and Aoi being the elder and enthusiastic twin making her bossy but cheerful.

The death flag was instantaneously raised the moment that Aoi accidentally broke the Christmas wreath that Ruri so much put hard work to make. The prelude for the hell to come, since I can now be certain that....

Well Sacred Seven must have proved somewhat successful cause they just greenlit a compilation edition that is going to focus more on Night's character. I guess they realized he ended up being a bit underutilized and want to find a way to remedy that. It's not quite a second season, but it's new content....just don't know if we'll ever end up being able to see it.

The action in this series proved quite a watch, but sadly the plot fell a bit short for being rushed and having not much development for Alma and Ruri. They covered all the bases for the pair, but I felt that more could have been done for them; if they had no filler episodes (I counted at least three), perhaps that would have allowed things to build a bit better. Push it to 24 episodes, and perhaps you can also fit in Night's backstory a lot better. Here's hoping the compilation next year will hopefully be a lot smoother.

You think so? That'd be one of the last things I'd hold against this show. Those two got tons of screentime together as well as flashbacks to their childhood. It seemed like if the focus wasn't on the battles it was pretty much always something to do with Alma and Ruri's relationship and backstories.

The only episode I saw as straight filler was 8. Didn't really see much point to the dating scene and it surprisingly didn't really bring much to Alma and Ruri's relationship compared to some of the other scenes that you wouldn't think would do much for their characters but did like the supposed "beach episode" that turned out to be a rescue operation and touched off the rivalry between Kagami and Alma.

That said I wouldn't have minded 24 episodes, but the sheer amount of series Sunrise has going into the fall season probably wouldn't allow for it in the budget.

Tons of screentime sure, but when you summarize what their pasts were really, it's relatively smaller in comparison to what Night and Fey most likely have going.

Spoiler: It was Kenmi's doing releasing his hell hound upon the Aiba's to get the power of Sacred Seven but to his dissapointment he was after Ruri, who stayed behind with Makoto at the time of the assault. Mrs. Aiba's death was far haunting and gruesome more than Mr. Aiba's, IMO. And one can't imagine how much Aoi got traumatized and with her time unable to move for all those five years, because in such a traumatizing situation of life-or-death she instinctively activated her Sacred Seven to become a stone in order to protect herself, but at the cost of her consciousness. One I can say that Kenmi's is such a real f*****g bastard.

The build-up itself wasn't that bad, actually, but the climax was not only lame, but there were problems. Musuka, the obvious villain, turned out to be cheap, stupid, and he didn't even have a convincing motive for his actions. SP was................................ What? Seriously... Fey... The story was talking about him going berserk with evil intentions, but that clearly wasn't evil intentions, but "despair". And his reason for wanting to destroy everything didn't even connect. And so on. And the transformations in the climax were beyond lame. Before, it was lame, but it might work. Now it was just lame. It's a shame. I didn't mind the cliche storyline. It was actually working well, but the climax was just bad. Everything else except the climax worked though. Spoiler: On the other hand, Alma's final form ended up looking too much like one of the armors that Megaman X used in the latter games (X5 onward)...
