If I was you I would save for a better PVC. Price is never a issue with me it's the quality and the pose etc of the figure/statue I'm buying.

Once I passed on a close out statue that retailed for 150 USD and it was only like 35-40 bucks. The only flaw was the faces didn't look right so I passed on it and I'm glad I did. But if the sculptor got the faces right just like that art work design I would have gladly payed full price.
ya price = quality when comes to figure...
10 bucks you will probably looking at 4-5 cm tall littel things... not worth it imo unless u are into shitty lil figures.

btw wut statue are u talking about

I did another update to my Kanu project I'm working on, and I added some videos that I took while working on some of the techniques. http://www.gamerabaenre.com/?p=143
Hopefully some of these videos will help some folks interested in building GK.

Those Haruhi meister figures are not really that bad, they're pretty good actually.
You can see them in my pic here. The small ones are at the back (with larger base) the meister figures. Those ones at the front with smaller base are just bandai gashapon

Spoiler for Haruhi Meister figure pic:

Too bad most of them are bootlegs. I was just a poor kid and didn't have $$$ to buy real thing 10 years ago.

I have a question for anyone who may know. I just finished moving (temporarily) into my father's house, and there's not a whole lot of room for stuff. As such, my figures (in their respective boxes) are all in one gigantic cardboard box in his garage. I've seen pictures of some PVC figures after heat damage, and I'm kind of worried if it will be safe to leave them there or if I should find somewhere else for them. He claims that the garage never gets above about 80 Fahrenheit, and to be honest I don't know the temperature limit that's safe for a majority of figures. I don't know if I'm overreacting, but it's an awful lot of money sitting there to not be a little worried. So... will they be safe sitting there until say next July?

I think 80F is ok. It's not gonna melt them.
Just to make it safe, make sure you don't put any weight on the figures, or putting them overlapping each others (the paint might stick together with other figures).

Man I have to stop viewing this thread my wallet keeps getting mugged.

My Clare figure came in, and my Rei from Highschool of the dead is shipping had to pay that too. Medi com Motoko is on pre-order, and Metal Gear 4 is coming out in 2 weeks.

I was on the fence with those sky girl figures but I have to at least get the Eika one now.

I like the fourth one as well. You chose a good angle and the depth of field (background blur, or "bokeh" if you're into photography) draws more attention to the character and foreground. Nice work, and interesting idea to mix figures with technology like that for a photo shoot...

Wai Fung 144 Dollars on sale

Wai Fung is another creation in Elegance series by ORI Team. Wai Fung features the custom and culture of an ancient Chinese lady. The gown, pattern on her dress, accessories are all designed according to the Chinese belief, myths and tradition.

The face

The chest

The back

The legs

The first highlight of Wai Fung figure is the gown that she is wearing. The gown consist a few patterns of bachelor's-button and Chinese phoenix.

The bachelor's-button

Chinese phoenix is a symbol of feminine entity in ancient Chinese culture as Dragon presents males. The Chinese phoenix on Wai Fung’s gown also brings out her high virtue and grace.

The Chinese phoenix

Furthermore, the Chinese phoenix pattern on her dress is not a decal but actually is sculpted. The sculpture is well defined and looks very natural with the folds of her dress.

The dress

The second attention must pay to the craftsmanship of the fur on Wai Fung's neck and sleeves of her gown. Fur is one of the oldest forms of clothing in ancient China. Huge effort was made to sculpt the detail of the fur. You can tell how well-defined the far is by looking at the photos.

Left sleeve

Right sleeve

The neck

Pearl, gold token, fazan and jade pendant are accessories that ancient Chinese always fanaticize about.

The belt

The gold token

The pearl

On Wai Fung's hair, flowers and fazan are tacked. Fazan is a hairpin for a lady to hold her hair together. A gold fazan is a symbol of wealth and social position. The flowers and fazan make Wai Fung young and aristocratic.

The flowers

The fazan

Finally the little pet on Wai Fung’s arm is a cute hedgehog. It shows the Wai Fung is close to the animal and nature.

I have not ordered from those guys, but I have been meaning too for a while. I'm just really picky and want colors to be modestly accurate so I haven't mustered up the courage yet.
