Angel Beats! is truly amazing. I'll be watching all the way to the end.

Spoiler for Theory:

I was surprised when I saw that TK wasn't played by a Japanese. He seems to have a hint of a Japanese accent ("Just wild then" and "F*ckin' crazy" in Ep 2 sound a little weird), and he speaks some Engrish (which could be just the script). I wonder if TK's VA is fluent in English?

Wasn't it said that TK's voice actor came from Hawaii? If yes, I am sure he'll be fluent in ENglish.

And I'm not sure we should believe EVERYTHING Yuri says. I mean, how she labels people who don't rebel as "NPCs", it seems a bit derogatory (spelling error). And yes, I believe Tenshi only pursuits those who ACTIVELY disrupt the system, if they return back to daily live activities, then Tenshi won't pursue them

On another note, do we have any more wallpapers of Angel Beats?

Finished episode 2, I still don't know what to think of the series. It seems to be one where you shouldn't think about it, but just watch...

At least it's pretty.

Better than the first episode for sure,this one was an entertaining watch.I bet Tenshi isn't really bad or anything,given her OP skills i bet she could have offed Yuri pretty quickly:she just reacts to whatever is "wrong" in that world.

Completely agree. Tenshi only goes after them when they are ACTIVELY opposing the system, and I found a pretty good fanart.

Anyway, ep 2. Absolutely hilarious, though even if TK can't die... how does he get out from under all that rock!

It's a pity that guild was destroyed, but if Old Guild is gone as well they're toast! Also, if I got it correctly, the people in that world can make anything as long as they remember it?

2nd episode was better than the first though there still some awkward pacing problems and lame jokes going around. The show got to Yuri's backstory a little too fast and it ended up making little impact on me due to lack of build up and internal conflict. We now at least have some idea why Yuri is doing what she is though. Not sure how I feel about the way this show handles death since it kinda makes fighting look pointless. Animation quality is still pretty high which is great.

I like the OP's style, but the music is a bit meh to me. ED is okay.

HAS AN ACTUAL ENGLISH NAME.

Michael Rivas.

He's only been in 2 Japanese dubbed anime, but he has been in a lot of English dubs as vid engineer usually:

Okay, I just saw Ep 2, not quite sure what to make of it yet. But I like it.

Some random impressions. Love the new OP. Team going down one at a time, with the survivors being completely indifferent about their comrades was hilarious.

Yuri's background story didn't quite feel in tune with the light and fun tone of the rest of the episode.

I got a feeling something isn't quite what it should be but can't lay my finger on it yet. The world just seems to much like a virtual reality to me instead of purgatory.

Maybe Yuri knows something we don't know, why did she retain her memories? Also don't think she has been hurt in anyway so far, will she heal like the others? Why the classic tsundere denial about suicide? Maybe Yuri isn't dead but plugged in to this world somehow. Maybe she is a GM or a fallen angel or the god of the realm? Hmm, time will tell.

Wonder Oyama character will be running gag character. His character is describe as having no special ability. Anyway, in episode 2, he seems remember every traps after each trap has been tripped.

About the only thing that disturbs me in this anime is...
1. out of dirt, anyone can create anything they remember
2. there is a laser hallway trap somewhere in the Guild pathway
3. someone in the Guild must have had been working for Umbrella Corporation. It's not like that trap is trivial to build...

Spoiler for Theory: Based on the first two episodes, I'm assuming that all of the spirits in this world are like sheep, and Angel is either the shepherd or the shepherd's dog, not enough info to say which yet. Angel wants the spirits to live life as they would've if they were alive, by living among the NPCs. Angel only punishes spirits who don't do what she says (living amongst the NPCs) and spirits who physically attack her. All of the spirits used to follow Angel, until Yuri came and began to rebel. Rebellion seems to prevent spirits from being reincarnated. This reasoning would explain why Angel didn't attack the spirits in Ep 1 when they got their meal tickets and started running for the cafeteria. For that one moment, they were being good little sheep, just eating and not causing any trouble. Seems to work? I was surprised when I saw that TK wasn't played by a Japanese. That would be a very extended Near Death Experience "You are already dead. All of you." __________________ If there's a Final Fantasy game that I must put my personal seal of disapproval on, it's Crisis Core. I mean, just look at how this Genesis Rhapsodos dude is raping the canon. It's bad. As in, fanfiction bad.
