Taking it into her own matter, the swords-woman Chifuyu walk into soldier infested hellhole of a city, and warned them. Clad in pitch black, iron armor covered in tar, she warned them to stop or else...

In a single night, 30 member of the garrison perished, only one survive, and he was traumatized.

The Ironclad Queen of blades. Her sword are covered in blood, and yet, her eyes are completely pure. For her, there's no reason to hate, only to enforce belief one shall fight.

For her, it doesn't matter if the world burn, so long as her beloved ones can survive.

Random thought: Chifuyu's workout regimen. She HAS to have one. It must involve a lot of cardio to keep her figure trim but she also must throw in weight training as well to keep her strength up.

... and the thought of her swinging an IS katana with weights attached one-handed over and over just came to mind.

The fun fact is even if it's just made of iron, an I.S. katana weight more than a barbel handle.

It's probably made of denser stuff...

The top ones would has a multi-layer formation like real katana, though.

Most of the bigger swords are much more blunt than their smaller counterparts. An IS blade wouldn't need to be razor sharp like an actual katana - would be almost pointless to do so since chipping and all of that would be really bad, especially after a fight.

The blade that Chifuyu used to stop Laura has to have both tensile strength and weight to stop Laura's attack. Not sure if it's the same as trying to parry a moving steel beam with a lead pipe, but you get the idea. The sword had to have weighed at least a few kg (6 kg minimum) to have parried Laura's attack.

Using steel/iron density my calculation come between 5-7 kg, and I'm pretty sure it's heavier than that.

Uchigane's sword always been on the thicker side because like GINN sword, it's a sword-shaped sledgehammer.

I've scourging the novel throughout and can't find anything regarding it's special properties.

You won't find anything. Even Houki's new katana for Aka-Tsubaki aren't really elaborated on either. Izuru would never go that in-depth into it - creating even more work for the IS fanwriters.

You could said that Izuru is not fit for sci-fi.

And who said IS's sword has to be like that? You could always put more weight on a specific part - center of gravity, or applying VPS on it.

The twin katana and Ugachi is explained well enough for layman. One shoot homing beams, one shoot wide beams, and one is an overkill particle cannon with massive recoil.

Every other weapon aside from Uchigane's katana have special properties, including Kanzashi's useless halberd

From what I observed, PT are filled by specialized super-agents, but has hilariously bad management as organization.

1 vs 1 they stomp handily, but cohesive force is their worst enemies.

This is my subsequent plot in Mirrorverse, where Ichika rally various countries to act swiftly, as he's the only reliable source of information (thanks to Raijin)
