I don't know what the story is with Zero Shinohara's grandmother's PSU, but there are fanless PSU's out there. Especially useful if you want to build an ultra-quiet computer. They can get pretty costly, but I'd like to have one in a future system... you should do a lot of research on your PSU anyway, but do a bit extra on the fanless ones. Not all of them have proven to be highly stable.

LC Power 550W Silent Giant 46.00EUR
Seagate 250GB SATA II 16MB 68.99EUR Seagate 500 Gb SATA 2 130.00EUR 3RSystem R202Li Branco 41.50EUR GSkill 2x1Gb NQ CL5 DDR2 800 186.00EUR Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 168.00EUR XFX 8800GTS XT 320MB DDR3 PCI-e 337.00EUR Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe) E6600 225.00EUR Ok! I think this is what I am going to buy next friday. Dunno if the intel cpu's will still drop prices. At least e6600 is at 225€. Still gota check at store about the psu and the case. I need this pc cool for 4 HD's and 1 optical drive. This will still cost around 1200€. There were in the store site list a XFX 8800GTS XT 320MB and a XFX 8800GTS 320MB. The difference is 38€ and the XT has 1 game(not that I like it) and has gpu and mem speed higher. Like +80mhz and +200mhz. I think it's better to buy a little bit more than having an ati x1950x that might not be so good in 1-2 years. |
