(L) Kuroshitsuji Season 2

Oh wow what an episode . The whole questionnaire maze really helped answered a lot of unanswered questions, which i really wasn't expecting. Especially Hannah are her purpose. So she was the one who was contracted with Luka, which i really should have seen coming . Also Hannah in her demon appearance is hot stuff. I'd love to see more of her in that saucy outfit.

Also i'm glad there was a lot of madness during the maze, thanks to Grell and Claude at the end there with his "he saw it, he saw it." .

Star of the episode has to be Maaya Sakamoto, with an outside performance as she portrayed both Alois and Ciel upto Mizuki Nana came back into it. It was always a shame that Sakamoto was able to fully show what she can do as a voice actress with her role as Ciel, so this was a great bonus.

So last episode next week, and i have no idea how the ending is going to play out . Which is a good thing, of course.

Well, episode 11 has to be the first episode of this sequel I actually like,

mainly due to the revelation between Hannah, Luka and Alois. It's quite nice how Alois finally realised who were the ones who truly love him. I hardly care about all the others already, I just want Hannah to eat Alois soul so he can be with Luka or whatever it is that makes those three happy. It's such a shame he's in Ciel's body right now, everything would be easily settled if Hannah just took Alois out and let Sebastian and Claude battle over Ciel, while she can have Alois. No doubt if that were to happen Sebastian would eventually win and the only loser out of this would be Claude. Good end.

Oh, and if there's one thing that's been consistently good about Kuroshitsuji, it's Iwasaki Taku's magnificent score. The full version of what I presume is the main theme for this season was wonderful when it got played here.

I give the writers credit for crafting something more interesting and truer to the manga than I would have guessed after a few episodes, even if it has been a bit of a mess. But that last ep is a giant minefield that could really screw things up. Obviously the truce between Sebby and Claude is short-lived, and Sebby will win the ensuing battle - but what, then, of Ciel's soul? Is it simply to be a matter of Sebastian finishing the job he started at the end of S1? That would be rather anti-climactic from my perspective.

Claude is hilarious, seriously. I agree with you about Maaya, she was amazing in this episode. It's almost a shame Nana came back.

That was a pretty nice episode. The explanation of why Sebastian was unable to eat Ciel's soul was a little weak but it works, I guess. The maze was a lot of fun, with all those crazy questions and traps (poor Grell ). I'm glad Hannah has turned out to be more than a punching bag.

I agree it would be very anti-climactic if this season ended like the first one. This second season would then be nothing more than an interlude. The best possible ending for Ciel would be for the demons to kill each other but that isn't very likely to happen, eh. I'm not even sure Ciel still wants to live, anyhow.

Definitely! On the other hand I've been listening to William Spears' character song "Shinigami no Kintai Kanri" the whole afternoon. XD That beat is something else!

After long thinking, decided to watch the season since 1st one was not my cup of coffee.

But this season seems to be far more enjoyable for me. I never was big fond of Ciel and Sebestian, they do have their moments but invincible Sebastian gets a bit boring and despite being noble and kind hearted, Ciel is boring too.

I prefer Alois much more despite some of his pathefic moments. And I'm glad that Hannah appeared to be something more than just a punching bag. She really had loved his brother in order to forgive all that beating since she could have easily killed Alois herself any moment.

And somehow I already had a feeling that she was the one whom Luka had made a contract with.

Claude fails as a buttler, has some funny moments but otherwise he is a traitor.

Hope that Alois will get re-united with his brother inside her. Wish that I would have someone as loyal as her, Sebastian also would do.

Man I really would've liked to see Hannah "fall" for the real Ciel Phantomhive. That would've been more fun for me :'(

I agree. I don't know if it would've been more fun for me personally (it would depend on what direction the story would've went in afterward), but it's a fairly interesting possibility to ponder over.

But it's okay, I'm sure somebody somewhere will write a bad fanfiction about it, satisfying my desires to some small tee. XD

yeah that scene where Hannah was like "oh hit me as much as you need to" followed by Ciel giving her a hand and saying "do you intend on taking a nap there" really got me down the whole path of what would happen if she did fall for Ciel's charming-ness.

Bad fanfiction eh? Never really read any good ones except for a code geass one that I read which was pretty good (about marianne and stuff, i'm sure a lot of people here know of it)

Anyway back to episode 11: I must say I really don't know where this is all going. And what's up with the rings having no color anymore? It's not like the souls were taken/eaten, so why is are they BOTH gray now? I thought it represented their souls or something...

I really don't like how it ended. At least, I'm pretty sure that was the end. I cried, but only when I saw real Tanaka. That just seemed to symbolize the end, to me. And the death certificate thing really upset me. I'll repeat myself, I don't like how it ended. I'm upset that Alois is completely gone, along with Claude and Hannah. I'm going to say it again, I don't like how it ended.

i was all kind of hiroshi when i watched it.
not to mention.... everything became clear in the last two episodes

after all, hannah almost became the last boss
finally claude was defeated

Ciel became a demon itself, and Sebastian was bonded for eternity to Ciel...? well prince soma was later sent a notice which mentioned that... In memory of Ciel Phantomhive---which means ciel really became a demon. ....che the ending is adjourned, i dont really like it.

HAHAHA OH MY GOD THIS ENDING! Opinions are probably going to be divided about it but one thing is for sure: that was completely unexpected. I said before than it pained me to see Ciel manipulated this way by the demons around him, so the fact Ciel (or rather, Hannah) turned the tables on them pleased me a lot. Not only is Sebastian unable to eat Ciel's soul, he will be forced to remain his bulter for eternity... I can't think of a better punishment for his action in this season. I almost feel a little sorry for him, but hey, spending eternity with Ciel doesn't sound so bad. However, even though I enjoyed this ending, I still like season 1's ending a lot more. It was more poetic.

As for Alois, he received his happy ending. He will forever be with the people who love him. What of the triplets? They kind of disappeared from the series all of a sudden, didn't they? I thought we would at least hear them talk at some point.

Triplets were killed a few episodes back remember? Sebastian had Grell cut them with his death-scythe.

Though would be funny to see Ciel as butler, but since he has Sebastian, I guess it will be his work. Poor guy, he literally became a slave

And seeing Alois (who got the shortest end of the stick) and Hannah (a punching bag and fanservice figure for most of the show) to screw powerful demons like that is a HUGE plus in my book. The most unpreciated ones became the winners, HELL YEH!

Since Hannah said only a demonic weapon could kill a demon, I thought they may have survived. Oh well, they were just minor characters anyways.
