Anyone thought of chicken with Hollow Ichigo?

Really wierd, it was good last ep with snake-like now he sounds like a screaming chicken

Oh well, at least there was Kensei (although it could've been better, better than being worse )

Add one to the count of wasted episodes.

I seriously can't understand why you could continue watching the anime but only try to consider manga events. The Bound arc happened in the anime, it wasn't just there for everyone to forget about later, and anime-original characters are bound to reappear.

It just goes to show you that the so-called "filler" arc didn't just exist to fill in a gap and give the manga more time. After all, the term "filler" is a fanmade term and don't exactly fit what the fans try to force it into.

Nothing killed the mood, nothing destroyed the plot, everything is perfectly fine. This episode is filled with awesome.

Let's hope Ichigo beats Hichigo and screams out "Now you must be my pony!!" followed by the reply "I'm a god damned horse, you bastard"

It was a really weird attack ichigo's mindless hollow threw out after getting blasted, it looked like a giant biting/chewing exploding blob, lol.

Well seeing the subbed version... the chats were just as interesting as I thought, but were they implying a fair bit. A bit of foreshadowing perhaps? Both Bya and Kar said Ichigo wasn't achieving all he could, and Bya said flat out that what he thought was Bankai wasn't. Anyway, I found the way it was worded kinda interesting. Its possibly nothing though.

I personally enjoyed the episode. The music, as always, was great. The scenes with Lisa kicking Hichigo's butt were great. I also enjoyed the fight with Byakuya.. especially the part at the end of their duel where he flew upwards torwards Ichigo. I also enjoyed when Hichigo stabbed Ichi in the stomach and then Ichigo went to grab his sword. The music there was fantastic.

My favorite part I have to admit was the Shinigami Cup. Yachiru ftw <3

this episode was alright, a little different from the manga, as expected.. but it was alright. i just hope the animation quality was as good as the few episodes where the Arrancars invade the real world. those episodes were superb!

Tell me that after you can prove that the fillers add quality to the story. And, those are fillers whether you like the definition or not. The story is based on a manga, and the anime tries to include everything from the manga. If they add any extras out of manga, it will become a filler. If the anime creators wants to deviate from the manga storyline - completely, when they start those fillers, only then, those parts will not be considered a filler.

And, as a manga follower, that wants to have nothing to do with the fillers (in, especially, Naruto and Bleach), it bored me. Just when it was supposed to be high-tension, it slowed down itself.

Lastly, I cannot say anything for your enjoyment, especially considering that there are also people who extremely enjoyed Naruto fillers (when many people are going wth/wtf after each episode). Taste is something like that.

I liked it!

The fights, Byakuya , Kariya explaining stuff, Hichigo not wanting a panzy ass Ichi as king of his world.. loved the sheated sword part..

When I saw the chickenlegs on Ichigo I lolled and directly thought of a pic in the ridiculous thread

I lolled too after the bells rang at the "to be continued"

Seems a transformed Ichigo is somewhat of a fierce and powerfull fighter.. Regeneration, shooting a weird gummything with teeth ( reminded me of the chain of faith mouths when he was in the pit @ Urahara).. and a crow like shriek to make it all the more creepy . very cool!

Liked what I saw of the weapon and fighting style of Mugurama Kensei..

And offcourse they did a grimmjow on Ichi again
will he ever get over those ?

There is, IMO, one redeeming factor for the additional scenes, but i cant say it here cause its a spoiler. I think the anime team, by adding in these scenes, addressed the matter pretty well. However, Im just sick of seeing kariya. The whole kariya theme about "omg ichigo you're gonna fall into the same path as me" is very forced iMO.

and as usual, im too lazy to argue with thewanderer. It just won't end will it?

Well the part where all the vizards are ontop of hicigo she looks scared..and i took note that her sword hilt is a heart

But i must admit shes the cutest anime girl ive seen ^_^
The sword with the heart shaped hilt isn't hers. That sword belongs to the black haired dude with the glasses and a bodysuit freakingly similar to Lee and Gais. Her hilt is a rectangle, fairly similar looking to Shinjis and Risas. And I'm a Shinji fanboy myself. He's my little Cheshire cat with that grin of his.

Filler is such a loose term. If the anime is filling in gaps the manga isn't covering for any reason, people call it filler. If the anime decides to finish the story before the manga does? Filler. If the manga is falling behind on chapters and the anime adds in episodes to buy time? Filler. If the anime completely ignores the manga? Filler.

Filler filler filler. Bleh.

Look so some filler sucks and some don't. SS arc was amazing, but they needed to fill in some time so the manga could get some breathing room. Now they are trying to slow down on the pace of how many chapters they'll put into one episode to delay adding another long string of non manga story, and one of the methods they are using is to reuse characters from the previous filler arc.

In any case, if you don't like filler I'm sorry to break it to you but that's how long running shows go. We'll be seeing more in the future, no matter how slow they try to adapt the chapters.

Either they stop producing episodes for a long period of time or they add non manga content to keep things going. It's a darned if you do, darned if you don't problem. Either way, someone is going to complain.

I don't need to prove anything to you, nor can you say that non-manga elements are truely "filler". The fact is that the Bound arc happened in the anime, and the Kariya scene in the new episode proves that it's in-continuity.

And no, they're not intended to be defined as "fillers". I'll hold to that fact unless you can show me, from an official Bleach source, that they consider their anime-original arc just a filler.

This is the anime, not the manga. If you don't want to have anything to do with what you call "filler", then the anime isn't for you, because it's a different continuity than the manga, and anime original elements are part of it's story.

It's not about enjoyment directly. It's about the expectation of the whole Bound arc to be forgotten about and ignored because it's anime-original, and thinking that the anime is following the manga continuity exactly. Obviously the anime has it's own coninuity, following manga events or not, and if you expect towatch the anime, don't think of the Bound arc as just trash to be discarded.

Thumbs down

I never thought a Bleach episode would make me angry.

I don't mind filler. It's when guys ramble for 5-7 minutes each of a 20 minute episode about mostly irrelevant stuff I only remember about 5 lines of.

Besides that-

Byakua's Michael Jackson nose appearance~!
Someone cap this please.

The music was pretty generic and the sound effects for Ichigo as a hollow sounded laughable plus that little sound Hichigo made at the beginning of the episode was Howard Dean esque.

I know Ichigo has been a bit dense this entire show but I had to resist throwing my drink at the screen at certain times of this ep.

Their were some bright spots though but you could count them on one hand.
Time to start watching this show in chunks!

A pretty good ep. The fight scenes were exciting, and i absolutely loved the "flashbacks" with Kariya and Byakuya. The fight with HIchigo was the best. Though i know it won't happen - am i the only one that hopes for HIchigo kicking Ichigo's arse?

But the way they treat injuries here is just lame (what else is new) - Ichigo got stabbed trough his gut with a sword... and i can bet he will be perfectly fine the next ep. Apparently a newfound resolution lets you ignore mortal wounds. Ok, a shounen anime cliche, but still annoying.

As for all the crying about Kariya - sheesh, he is an anime character, so what should any one be surprised about him being mentioned ?

He wasn't in the manage? Who cares? Anime is not supposed to be a 100% manga clone if it doesn't want to, and it doesn't make it any worse by default. Granted, i was not very happy about the Bount arc, but the fact that references from it are still floating in the air are a plus as far as the construction of the story is concerned. (I wouldn't mind for the mod souls to disappear though... but that is because i find them annoying ).

Overall a nice ep... what i really want to see is: all of the vaizards in action...though i doubt we will see that happen.

I dont get why people even compare anime to manga...Your always gonna come up disappointed because you want a verbatim 100% manga translation. Me personally...I take each as a seperate entity and enjoy accordingly. So far out of all the piles of manga to anime productions ive seen the only one that annoyed me was naruto and that wasnt really because of the content of the fillers so much as the length.

Anyway enough of that. Biggest highlight for me was yachiru lol...I really wish she showed up more in either the manga or the anime.
