Hi! I just recently finished Macross Frontier and had been reading threads here. I have been meaning to discuss the importance of Numerology (aside from Astrology) when it comes to the character of Sheryl Nome. Unfortunately, the discussion thread for her is closed. Anyway, here is basically what I took notice of.

Aside from stars and constellations (Northern Cross, Sagittarius), Sheryl Nome is also associated to Number 9 -they named her Fairy 9, 9pm for her date (though this is perhaps because Sagittarius is best seen during that time). What I find so fascinating is that the Life Path of a Number 9 as defined in Numerology fits so well with the characterization, journey and character development of her.

Characters like her are very interesting to watch. Characters who do extraordinary things because they are extraordinary to begin with. Like, in the age of 9(?), she told the performer she admired the most that someday her songs will shake the galaxy and be the better performer. Not just to follow, not just to be like, but to be better. That -for me- is very admirable and awesome.
