By the way, I caught an episode of FMWS on Hong Kong television last Friday. For your information, the Cantonese dubbing is AWFUL. They found the worst voice actors ever (Cantonese Mitsuki, for instance, sounds like an eight-year-old boy with a runny nose). The translation's not that good either. So... I hope you lot in the States get a better dubbing than what we've got here.

i absolutely LOVED this anime. every thing was so tragic and sad.

i hate that eichi died and it was so sad for meroko.

not much things went well for her. at the beginning of the anime i wanted to fast forward because it seemed so ehh. i actually felt embarassed for mitsuki when she was so clueless at stuff that happen in the world. but then i couldnt take my eyes off the show. cried sooo much. gah 52 episodes was not enough. i wish they made some more of the anime

Hmm I don't know about that theory for the manga...because

If Eichi hadn't died, young Mitsuki may not have gotten the throat disease. It's most likely that she would be much healthier because she wouldn't have been so depressed. Depression puts stress on the human body like you wouldn't believe. Perhaps she stopped eating for a while and that weakened her immune system. But had Eichi survived the plane ride, Mitsuki might have taken better care of her health. But yes, this would not be true for the anime because she got the cancer even when she thought he was still alive.
What would have happened if Eichi lived in the anime?
I think:

He would have contacted her waaaay before two years and they might have a long distance relationship. But Mitsuki still gets the cancer, the shinigami still appear, and she still MIGHT have fallen for Takuto because he'd still be the one protecting her instead of Eichi who lives thirteen hours away by plane. Would Takuto have interfered with Mitsuki's fate even though she was in love with someone else who could actually be there for her? Would she have died happily holding Eichi's hand if he had been alive or would she still have regrets and fight against her fate in order to be with him? I don't know. This is actually a very mind-boggling question...@_@

Heh, Eichi's survival would kinda screw up the whole series when you think about it. XD

Assuming that she got the cancer anyway, if Eichi had lived I don't think that she would have been able to see the shinigami in either the anime or the manga. So she wouldn't have been able to meet the people who would change her fate.

On another note. I wonder if the dialog in the Final Live album was made for that album or if it was dialog for a different ending that they were considering.

It's called New Future by the group Changin' My Life. (Mitsuki's seiyuu was their lead singer.)

Hey everyone.. I heard that they were dubbing Full Moon wo Sagashite C/O Viz Ocean Studios .. I'm not sure if this is true because I just read it on another forum while I was searching full moon on google.

I really hope that they don't dub it, because it would be terrible(in my opinion)! here are my reasons:

-They would change all of the jap songs to english songs
-They would probably change the Character's names.. (mitsuki to mary or something)
-Might change the plot too..

Plus, Japanese with English Subtitles are much better anyway.. I don't know if anybody wuold agree with me..?

If anyone knows anything more about this please let me know.. Full Moon wo Sagashite is my favourite anime and manga.

You're paranoid! Why would Viz change any of the names or the plot. It's not like they're putting this on network TV or something. I can assure to you that none of the stuff you mentioned ever happened.

As for who's dubbing it, it's the Ocean Group's Blue Water Studios who's track record is rather.......sketchy.

I've got to say that this anime might not be as amazing as it is now without all those music in it...I just totally love the songs Changin' My Life sings. I haven't read the manga but the anime is still awesome, and the ending wasn't too bad either

And I'm quite against dubbing Full Moon wo Sagashite...uhh, actually I'm against dubbing all animes, due to the fact that they change so many things -.-

Viz is NOT going to dub the songs, they said. I'm getting the sample dvd tomorrow so I will post all info as soon as I get it.
