That was an event only resin figure kit sculpted by Bome. The scaled is 1/4. Selling price at wonderfest Winter near the end of Feb, kit was sold at 29,000 Yen, roughly $290, and it's not painted. Here's a Y!J auction for that particular kit painted, the sale price at the end of the auction was 352,000 Yen about $3,520: http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g65222187

There were a few of the kits sold last month right after WonderFes that were sold unbuilt at Y!J, and they were selling for about 40,000 - 80,000 yen.

I picked up one and here are some size comparison pictures: http://www.gamerabaenre.com/bome_kanu_prog.htm The gundam kit in the picture is a 1/100 MG Gundam One Year War with a Keroro head... yeah, she's rather big...

Hoo, that's quite a profit to make! I noticed from browsing your site that you do commissions too, GameraBaenre - if you don't mind my asking, do you make profits like that too?

Heh... well, if you calculate the final cost vs cost of the kit, the artist that sold that kanu kit made about 12 time the cost of the kit.... yes, I have made the same amount, but in a different cost scale...

At the end of the day, the artist isn't making much money at all, calculating the cost/hour, unless the artist is incredibility fast, it is very difficult to make pure profits from commission works. It is more to get ones name out there. Now the artist started the auction on 3/25, the only time to buy that kit was 2/24, so roughly about a months time to complete the kit. To make 3,230 (auction cost minus the cost of the kit) not counting in the costs for supplies such as paint and such, it's not that much money, and to live off that would be insane :P

I mostly build for fun, to compete in local contests, and occasionally, if people are willing to pay my insane commission quotes; I'll build for people too

What is being sold in the link is a recast (pirated copy) of the original resin figure, which is why the cost is so cheap. No idea about hte quality of the painting. In the end, you get what you pay for....

You won't find it. The original (like is the case with many resin figures) was a limited run and not available through retail channels.

Edited to add: I should note that the one you linked is unpainted resin.

If you just want a Haruhi in bunny suit figure, then there are lots more chooses and more affordable too.
But if really want that one, Hobbyfan is selling the prepaint one, copied, not original of coz.

Prepaint ($133.32)
http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info...oducts_id=4575

not painted/not built ($32.83)
http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info...oducts_id=4525

Hobbyfan is good, the shipping $$$ is really reasonable. I bought form them before and no complaint at all!

In response to the previous thread, yes, these are "recasts", meaning not original.

I have two original Haruhi in the bunny suit sculpted by Bubba. They are unpainted and in parts in the box, if you are interested, I could sell one, but the cost would be about $200 for the kit.

What? You need to add fund to the paypal account??? Why??
You just need add your credit card or bank account to your paypal account and that's it. Is it for first time user only??

you can link your debit or credit card with paypal, i think there is an option to put money into paypalaccount as well. Howeverm I think you do need to wait few days for paypal to process and validad ur account. I don't think it takes 8 days to do so, havent used my paypal over 2 years...

i always pay using my credit card. As it is your credit card has more fraud protection then your bank account.

PS. that is Credit Card not a check card which has visa/MC logo but is link to your check account. Check card has the same protection as a regular checking account.
