He said that she, like him, are the ones never chosen. And, for opening the gate for her, he would ask for a favor later. Its hard to say if she's any reincarnation at all because her visions are/were caused by Mykage, and there's little other than that to go on.

Probably because it's the only way to unlock Aquarion. If someone like Amata or Zessica could unlock Aquarion then I'm sure that he would've taken them with him. Instead of having Mikono follow after him, with Kagura trailing close behind her.

I'm sure Mikono or Fudo will find a way to get him away from the bad side, the power of love has done that before.

I don't think Amata and Kagura's looks could be mistaken. Kagura is significantly manlier than the very girly looking Amata.

Besides I won't read too much in those visions that are Mykage's doings.

Mikage is likely trolling kagura aswell though. That whole vision thing. We will find out mikono is actually genderbent apollonius and I will forever drop evol.

I'm sure we'll get some answers when the legendary Aquarion is finally awakened. I'm ignoring the reincarnation stuff for now and focusing on the obvious until then. I hate getting trolled. <,<

So I watched the first two episodes of the original series, and I was really surprised when the reincarnations were so obvious from the get-go. With Apollonius and Celliane having conversations through their reincarnations in episode 2. It makes me wonder, why isn't this series so easy to figure out like the previous one? There are like no signs and the reincarnations are hardly ever mentioned unless it's Mykage/Fudo. But with their cryptic ways of doing things, it never helps.. >.>

For me, the single largest issue this episode opened up is this: will Zessica actually make it back to Vega? I'm not convinced she will.

Her "wish" that Mykage said he'd grant wasn't explicitly stated, but from the lines she was saying leading up to his appearance it's quite likely that her wish was to leave behind her her former life Vega.

If that interpretation is right we're going to spend a *lot* of time on Altair. It also makes me wonder what kind of favor Mykage wants from her, because it'd have to be something it'd be useful for her to do while still on Altair. We might not really get off Altair until Altair's story is concluded, or something like that.

Should be a fun ride. Congrats again to kuromitsu for exhibiting such prescience.

replace amata with kagura in the vision? because the person in the shattered glass looks more like amata than kagura which means perhaps amata/mikono were destined for each other and all that shit. so mikage granting the mikono-kagura renuion next few eps? while zessica is with amata on altair?

that would be major troll on zessica. but its not like they like her anyway .

the moment she realizes what happened and that she doesn't want that wish anymore, she will die.

It seemed implied that her wish was to open the gate, and that Mykage was granting her that wish (opening the gate) and would later ask for something in return. Otherwise, Zessica only has one wish: to be with Amata or bust. She went for bust last episode and MIX's sacrifice should have and looks to have knocked the latter idea out of Zessica's head entirely. She's lost and in love, her quote just before Mykage *pops up* is evidence to this:
"Why did you choose to save me even though you won't pick me?"
Her lines later in the episode to Amata continue to enforce the idea that she's not on *bust*, but boy oh boy is she throwing up death flags.

From memory, I thought there was something after that line that went roughly "It's just sad staying here now (...that you didn't choose me)...". If I misheard or imagined that line I might change my assessment.

Regardless: doesn't it seem that Amata and Zessica are on one world and Mikono and Kagura are on another world? Maybe mayumi's right on this one.

That is an interesting thought. Like say Amata had a twin sister when they were born. Mikage wanted both of them due to their connection to Apollo. He was only able to get the sister and took her to Altair but the transfer turned Kagura from a woman to a man. Or Mikage made it so that happened when a transfer happened because he didn't need a woman when Silvia's reincarnation was reborn as a woman as well. As a result, it messed up the transfer of women from that time on as well. It might explain why Amata thinks that he knows "him". He only knows a sister from the distant past, not a brother.

Concerning Mix's condition. It give more reason for Kagura's reverse power. He may be able to reverse her gender back to normal.

Watched a better stream just for that scene, there's a lot of depression but her biggest problem is why does Amata do what he does, effectively making everything that much harder for her. That said, the rest of the dialogue from Mykage about being the same as him, never chosen, would imply that the wish he's granting is to be chosen.

Part of this is opening the gate.

I'm guessing, let's make that clear. Its really vague. The portal is most certainly a part of whatever the wish is that he is granting, that much is I think obvious. The question is what is it that he's going to grant by doing this or is that just the wish in its entirety? Save MIX? Give Zessica an escape? Give Zessica Amata? The first one doesn't seem to be the case (at least not directly what she wants) nor does the second with the latter dialogue of Zessica worrying about Amata. If she were looking for an out she has many on Vega: leaving, or on Altair when they arrive: running away. So is it the third one? Hard to say but if Zessica were to have one true wish, it probably is for Amata's love. I doubt, since she didn't have an option to even chose, that her deepest wish was to get away.

Its very open and can easily be made to fit any future desire that the show may whim or that the writers may need.

Mykage had no part in Mikono leaving nor in Amata not following after her. That was a decision, for the sake of the continued chore that is this show's drama, that they made. Mykage's role and Zessica's wish are vague at best but I don't see how running away would be the wish as it just runs in the face of why everything happened with MIX, and would just make Zessica seem ungrateful as to why her friend is now gone. And like I said, deep down, her wish is probably not to run away and Mykage loves messing with love, giving her an out is counter productive to his lulz.

Has anyone even considered how the hell is Mikono supposed to find Fudo. Does she have some secret lead?

i thought the whole kagura in amata's room and replacing amata with kagura was zessica's wish along with rescuing mix or leaving vega aswell. which is why first mikage opens the gate and then kagura magically is in amata's old room with mikono off to where ever. all pretty convenient along with fudo asking the lot to go to altair.

i think we need to accept that zessica is there for the troll. they want to crush just about everything there is about her character. i won't be surprised at all when they do it.

To restate: I'm saying I think the wish isn't "run away" (changed my mind). Instead, the wish is: "be with Amata", but more specifically/concretely it's "get Kagura with Mikono, thereby freeing up Amata".

You're right that Mykage didn't have anything directly to do with Mikono chasing Fudo and Amata not going with her (...that we know of....), but in EVOL we have to grant a certain leeway for "just as planned" antics and this falls within that range to my tastes.

Oh well, who knows. Maybe Zessica's wish will be spelled out and maybe it'll be left open-ended.

Replaying it in my mind I wonder if we're reading more of a quid pro quo into the conversation than was really implied. Wasn't just a very vague "I'll grant you this wish. Don't forget this promise?" type sentence anyways?

Point being that the gist of the conversation might be more an implicit statement that "if you play along with what I'm up to your wish will come true...(and for insurance I have this thing in your forehead, mmmmkay....)". So no "you owe me one", just a "you should play along with me for your own sake...watch for the signs my plan has started".

Time to rewatch this episode I think.
