Completely true though - my dad calls me *every single day* to see how I'm doing and to make sure I'm alive... and if I don't pick up, he assumes the worst. My mom only calls me if she wants something.

It's definitely annoying, but I'm someone who can appreciate that it's just a way to show that they care.

(I have friends who can't take it though... poor parents.) And it's much better than the alternative - a parent that never calls, ne?

Gari is used as a palette cleanser when eating sushi. It is just a side snack and not actually sushi. Kona drew "gari" when going to the "which sushi are you?" website that matched sushi to your birthday and listed characteristics you had in common with the sushi.

Kona laughed at the Hiiragi's drawing "Kappa Maki" (cucumber roll) as their sushi, because it is pretty low on the sushi rung, but Kona got owned by getting something even lower!

As usual for Kagami, it is not the dialogue itself but the way she says it. In this case, you can almost feel her pain: "I fell for it again".
