Okay, I feel the need to say this....
Who calls those things "road rollers"? I've always called them "steam rollers"... Is this a british/american english thing? Or did the Japanese make up the name "road roller" and we're just blindly reverse importing it? It's road runner, or road warrior, but not road roller

but then i checked wiki and found out that a steam roller is a form of road roller... and since they also called it a road roller in the rin/len vids i just decided to use the term also...

"In many parts of the world, road rollers are still known colloquially as steam rollers, regardless of their method of propulsion. This typically only applies to the largest examples (used for road-making)." which explains why I and all my friends never heard "road roller" before. I suppose Japan probably borrowed the word in the meiji era (the first to build gravel roads en masse), when they were in all-likelihood horse drawn, so they first called then "road rollers" and it stuck, whereas at least in the US we only call them steam rollers regardless. Well, one mystery explained. On to the bigger question: WHY IN THE WORLD A ROAD ROLLER?! Negi I kind of get. Kind of. The steam roller? Because it's yellow? Japanese people are either insane, or absolutely brilliant. Who needs advertising agencies when fans come up with their own marketing campaigns this amazingly?

yeah as explained by the video of miku posted by Chama, they chose road rollers because it's yellow... many companies should hire people from nico to think of advertising ideas... they're brilliant...

Miku: How do you do? Good day. Lots of people have really been taking good care of me. (less lit: Thanks a lot, everyone) Hatsune Miku here. I've got nothing to do today, so I thought I'd try trolling a little. Or maybe, I've been trolled? {I think this is a bad pun, ... i.e. Miku is joking that she's a fish that's been caught?} Well for those that end up being trolled, or for those who got trolled on purpose, Thank you! Anyway, since I'll give you this Negi for some fan-service, eat it first and calm down. Oh, right. There's something that I've been wondering about... About Rin... Miku's is a Negi, so in otherwords, vegetable... So I think Rin kind of suits a Road Roller, you know? 'Cause her hair's the same color And "It's a road roller! wRYYYYYYYYYN!!!!" and such... Oh? It looks like someone's coming. Ah, sorry, let's talk more leisurely next time. See you later!
