Ippo is a good character, not the best in the series, but every character in Ippo each his own is special is a way because of their personalities. Ippo is a complete boxer and a fighter as we see in his training he's really try hard to work out his weakness and his an in-fighter type unlike hybirds like Takamura.

Ippo as a person still needs to mature since his vision on boxing isn't yet on the right mindset where in the ring there needs to be a winner, no mater how much the crowd says you're there to fight and defend your title.

And that's the problem of the author, he didn't give any maturity to Ippo after so many fights.

there is about 50 light novel volumes, 154 anime eps, 4 movie, 7 oav, 5 radio drama cd, 9 manga series (no idead how many volumes). Also the light novel prequel are still continuing.

Ippo's new chapter 944. Takamura makes hell and Ippo got lectured. But I didn't care much about the lecture. It's pure lolz on the aftermath of the battle. Lolz they think they can win against TAKAmura

Hey guys, I decided to pick up this manga.

Can anyone tell me what chapter the anime New Challenger ends at? I want to read the manga, but I have no idea where the anime left off, chapter-wise. I don't feel like reading stuff that I've already seen on the anime.

I don't really have that kind of time. And since there's nearly 1000 chapters (okay, 944, but at that point a count of 56 chapters is practically pointless), I'd like to skip events that I already know what's happened. I know it's good, but it's just a waste of time for me, since I don't really care to read what I've already seen animated.

Anyone going to answer my question for real?

The flash back Kamogawa Arc was supposed to be next in HNI-NC anime start there. Forgot what chapter it is because Ippo manga is SOOOO long.

Seems Sendo finally lost in a brawl.
Reminded me when Takamura and Sendo first fought sparing.
Takamura didn't held back and gave that same uppercut on Sendo.
Sendo needs alot of improvement since he still charges in blindly and gets hit.
Hated the emo Ippo part...
Now AFTER 6 fucking years!!! Finally Ippo learns about violence, where a boxing match can turn ugly. Ippo was never a violent person heck he even got bullied in the first chapter. He now faces the reality of a fight that one must do things to get stronger even if it means it could kill his opponent in the ring.

Ippo FEVER!!! literally in the ending lol

Kumi though is the mood sway on Ippo's mind set.

BTW naked Date has alot of pubes sticking out of his balls ewww!!!
